Robert C. Baker, land surveyor
Robert C. "Bob" Baker, 57, of Diamondhead, Miss., died Sept. 5 in Bay St. Louis, Miss.
A land surveyor, he was owner/operator of Robert C. Baker and Associates in Warrenton. He was contracted by the FBI to assist with the land surveying of the Ruby Ridge confrontation, the Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Charles and Dorothy Ann Gaughan Baker.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Marybeth Nederveld Baker, and his daughters, Saiva Baker, Mara Baker and Aija Baker, all of Diamondhead.
Also surviving are his siblings, Ralph Baker of Spokane, Wash., Cynthia Ackerman of Knoxville, Tenn., Neil Baker of Kennewick, Wash., and Lawrence Baker of Carriere, Miss.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady Academy, Scholarship Fund, 222 South Beach Blvd., Bay St. Louis MS 39520.
