John Peter Burns

John Peter Burns, in construction

John Peter Burns, 47, of Marshall, died March 20 at his home. He was born May 29, 1960, in Arlington to Stephen and Arlene Burns.

Mr. Burns attended W.T. Woodson High School and was owner of Burns Construction and Handyman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Burns.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa J. Burns, daughter Stacy Burns and son Jesse Burns, all of Marshall.

Also surviving are his brother, Mike Burns of Goldvein, and two sisters, Marlene Burke of Centreville and Linda Mayr of Arlington.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Burns Children's Memorial Fund, c/o BB&T Bank, 236 West Lee Highway, Warrenton VA 20186.
