Bill Charles Watts

Bill Charles Watts, worked for United Airlines

Bill Watts, 71, died Feb. 29 at his home in Warrenton. He was born in Norman, Okla., on Jan. 29, 1937, to Barbara Watts Smith and Jack T. Watts. As a young boy, he moved to California and graduated from Westchester High School.

On May 25, 1967, he married Joan E. Andersen. In 1985, the family moved to Solvang, Calif.

Mr. Watts retired from a 39-year career with United Airlines as the Santa Barbara, Calif., airport station manager in 1995. In 2002, he and his wife relocated to Warrenton.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joan Watts; daughters Jennifer Crowne of Westport, Conn., and Francine "Lori" Bowen of White Stone, Va.; sons William Watts of Warrenton and Jim Watts of Buellton, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are his mother, Barbara Smith of Medford, Ore., and his brothers, Max Watts of Laredo, Texas, and Ron Watts of Los Angeles, Calif.

A celebration of life was held March 4 at the family home.

Arrangements were by Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.
