Local Youth in Junior Olympics

Joe Monfort, a rising sixth grader at Bull Run Middle School, will participate in the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Detroit, MI on July 29. Joe finished fourth in Virginia State Meet with a time of 5:31 in the 1500 meter run. He then finished fourth in the Region 2B Meet with a time of 5:14 to qualify for the Junior Olympics. Joe will compete against over 30 11 year olds from across the country next week in Detroit.
