Sport & Health Heritage Hunt

Buchanan Partners of Gaithersburg, MD has leased a 46,000 square foot facility to Sport & Health Clubs at its Heritage Hunt mixed-use development just off I-66 in Gainesville, VA. Now under construction and scheduled to open in December 2011, this new Sport & Health will be the 26th location for Sport & Health, the leading health and fitness operator in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
The two-story facility will feature a multi-purpose court, lap pool and spa, dedicated areas for strength training and cardio equipment, spin studio, group exercise room, a mind-body studio, juice bar, lounge and a child care facility known as Kidz Klub. It will replace the existing smaller Sport & Health facility nearby, and will be the largest health and fitness facility in the area.
Sport & Health President and COO Mark Fisher said: “This club will be built in our newly developed 46,000 square foot, two-story design, which includes the best in equipment and amenities. This new design is our template for future growth, as we continue our planned expansion to roll out new locations in the DC metro area.”

The new Sport & Health Club will be located right next door to the Minnieland child care center, a 12,000 SF facility serving 150 children from three weeks to 12 years old. Minnieland offers before- and after-school care, preschool and pre-kindergarten classes, infant and toddler care, and a Montessori program.
The only true corporate office environment existing in western Prince William County, Heritage Hunt Corporate Park is a 100-acre development by Buchanan Partners. It is located adjacent to Heritage Hunt, a Lennar Active Adult Community. More than 200,000 square feet of Class A office space has been built and is about 70 percent leased; the site is approved for up to one million SF. Space is availablefor both sale and lease.
In addition to the office space, Heritage Hunt includes over 37,500 SF of retail space; additional retail and hotel sites are available. Ryan Homes is building Heathcote Commons, comprising 315 townhomes, with strong sales underway. The community is expected to be built out over the next 3.5 years.
