The Old Dominion Hounds will host a trail ride this Saturday, May 31, from Hunter's Rest in Flint Hill. The ride starts at 10 a.m. and are "walking only," making it a good schooling opportunity for young horses or green riders. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. Stonewall Jackson HS 5K to benefit teacher's family

The staff of Stonewall Jackson High School is hosting a 5K race on Saturday, May 31st for the benefit of Matthew Costis.  Matthew is the 8-year-old son of Tom Costis, a special education teacher at Stonewall.  In early February, Matthew was diagnosed with a rare, extremely serious type of brain cancer.  He has undergone several surgeries, radiation treatments, and will soon begin chemotherapy for a period of six months to two years.  The Stonewall family has been offering aid to the family through a variety of fund raising activities and the 5K race will be their most ambitious event. | 0 comments - ›› more ...

Battlefield first-baseman Shannon Cleary presented that fact to Stonewall Jackson coach Jason Koch Friday night in Haymarket as part of the Bobcats’ 4-3 senior-night victory.
