**UPDATES**


Armed Robbery *ARREST – On January 9th, police located and arrested the juvenile suspect involved in the below listed armed robbery at the AMC Theatre from December 29th of 2011.

Arrested: (Juvenile)

A 16 year old male of Dumfries

Charged with 2 counts of armed robbery, 2 counts of abduction and 1

count of the use of a firearm in commission of a felony

Court date unavailable, held at a Juvenile Detention Facility


Armed Robbery (Previously Released) On December 29th at

5:30PM, police responded to the AMC Movie Theater – Potomac Mills Mall located at

2700 Potomac Mills Cl in Woodbridge (22191) for a robbery. The victims, a 14 year old

male, a 15 year old male and a 14 year old female – all of Woodbridge, reported to

police that they were inside the movie theater when they were approached by three

unknown men. Two of the men reportedly escorted the victims into one of the theaters

while the third male acted as a lookout. Once inside the theater, one of the men implied

he had a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the two male

victims before fleeing the mall. No injuries were reported. On January 4th, police obtained

juvenile petitions for the accused individual responsible for the armed robbery at the

AMC Theatre which was reported on December 29th of 2011. The investigation revealed

that the accused, a juvenile, was the only one responsible for the robbery.


**INCIDENTS**


Burglary – On January 9th at 7:23PM, police responded to the 7700 block of Anderson Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on January 7th and 7:00PM on January 9th. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear sliding glass door which had been pried opened. A TV, valued around $350, was reported missing.


Burglary – On January 9th at 4:30PM, police responded to the 8100 block of Peakwood Ct in Manassas (20111) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 4:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. A TV and speakers, valued around $700, were reported missing.


Burglary – On January 9th at 1:40PM, police responded to the 4200 block of Marquis Pl in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 1:20PM. Entry appeared to have been made through the front door which had been forced opened. A laptop, iPad and jewelry, valued around $5,600, were reported missing.


Burglary – On January 8th at 10:20PM, police responded to the 7500 block of Margate Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:30PM and 9:40PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. A laptop, valued around $500, was reported missing.


Burglary – On January 8th at 6:15PM, police responded to the 10500 block of Poagues Battery Dr in Bristow (20136) for a burglary to a vacant residence. Property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on January 3rd and 6:15PM on January 8th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. No items were reported missing, however, interior damage, estimated around $5,000, was noted.


Burglary to a Business – On January 8th at 11:22AM, police responded to Plow & Hearth located at 5095 Wellington Rd in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:20PM on January 7th and 9:00AM on January 8th. There were no signs of forced entry into the business. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.


Attempted Burglary – On January 6th at 8:29PM, police responded to the 9300 block of Byron St in Manassas (20111) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 10:00PM on January 5th and 2:00PM on January 6th, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by prying open the front door. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.


Attempted Burglary – On January 5th at 7:59AM, police responded to the 8600 block of Walcott Ct in Manassas (20110) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 5:00PM and 9:00PM on January 4th, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by forcing open a rear door. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.


**ARRESTS**

Burglary – On January 6th at 10:57AM, police responded to the 4200 block of Glendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary in progress to a vacant residence. A neighbor reported to police that an unknown man was seen exiting a residence in the area above. Police set up a perimeter around the surrounding neighborhood where one officer encountered the accused, who matched the description provided by the witness. The investigation revealed that the accused made entry through a rear door. No items were reported missing.

Charged with burglary

Court date unavailable, held on a $2,000 secured bond
