**INCIDENTS**


Attempted Burglary – On January 30th at 11:51PM, police responded to the 13500 block of Cridercrest Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that an unknown man was seen attempting to enter the residence through a window. Once discovered, the man fled on foot. Police responded and check the area. No person(s) were located. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.

Lookout:

Hispanic male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’10” / 190lbs, medium build

Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and matching sweatpants


Attempted Burglary – On January 30th at 5:10PM, police responded to 5000 block of Linfield Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 6:30AM and 3:30PM, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through a front and side door. Both doors appeared to have had the doorknobs tampered with and showed several dents as if they had been struck by a blunt object. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.


**ARRESTS**


Peeping into a Dwelling – On January 31st at 2:23AM, police responded to the 2900 block of Jamestown Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a suspicious person. Caller reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, was seen looking into neighbor’s residence on Greenhall Dr. Police arrived and were checking the area when they observed the accused standing on a plastic chair looking into a residence on Jamestown Ct. Once discovered by police, the accused picked up his chair and fled on foot over a fence. Police were able to apprehend the accused quickly and arrest him without incident.

Arrested:

Rene Alberto CRUZ, 28, of Woodbridge

Charged with peeping into a dwelling

Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond


Narcotics Investigation – On January 31st, police concluded a narcotics investigation into the distribution of cocaine with the execution of a search warrant at 12299 Granada Way in Woodbridge (22192). As a result of the search, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency and evidence supporting distribution were recovered. The following arrest was also made without incident.

Arrested:

Ebay Lamont CHEEKS, 29, of Woodbridge

Charged with distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic [cocaine] and obstruction of justice

Court date set for March 23, 2012, held WITHOUT bond
