Historic Manassas hires event planner
Sarah McHugh of Chesapeake was recently hired as the event coordinator for Historic Manassas Inc. She is responsible for planning and organizing events, such as the Heritage Railway Festival, the Wine & Jazz Festival, Celebrate America, Merry Old Town and the upcoming Fall Jubilee.
A graduate of Shenandoah University in Winchester, McHugh earned her master’s degree in arts administration and a bachelor’s degree in music performance. She has more than three years of event planning experience and most recently worked at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a coordinator in their Special Events Office.
