Police reports: 9-22

Serious Crash – Double Fly Out

On September 21st at 4:45PM, police responded to the area of Minnieville Rd and Cheshire Station Shopping Center in Dale City (22193) for a crash. The investigation revealed that a 2009 Dodge SUV was making a left hand turn from westbound Minnieville Rd into Cheshire Station Plaza when it crossed paths in front of a 2004 Toyota Corolla which was traveling eastbound on Minnieville Rd. Both drivers were ground transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both passengers in the Toyota Corolla were flown to an area hospital. The left rear passenger was not wearing a seat belt and sustained serious injuries.

            Jennifer Anne Lav Arine, 28, of Cynthias Pl in Fredericksburg

            Charged with fail to yield the right of way

            Identified:

            The driver of the 2004 Toyota Corolla was identified as a 23 year old woman of Woodbridge

 

            The passengers of the 2004 Toyota Corolla were identified as a 53 year old woman and a 28 year old woman, both of Woodbridge

 

Crash Involving 2 County School Buses

On September 21st at 2:00PM, police responded to the area of Rixlew Ln and the Manassas Mall Entrance in Manassas (20109) for a crash. The investigation revealed that two Prince William County School buses were traveling northbound on Rixlew Ln in the same travel lane. The lead bus stopped for a red traffic light at the above intersection. The rear bus then struck the lead bus in a rear in collision. Only minor injuries, mostly pain and soreness, were reported. One student from the bus was ground transported to an area hospital as a precaution.

            Chester Grala, 73, of Colton Ln in Manassas

            Charged with following too close

            Court date set for November 10th, 2010

 

            Identified:

            The driver of the lead bus was identified as a 58 year old man of Manassas

 

            The transported student was identified as a 14 year old female from Stonewall H.S.

 

Assault on Law Enforcement Officer

On September 21st at 6:46PM, police attempted to stop a man who was trespassing in the area of Irongate Way and Community Dr in Manassas (20109). As police approached the man, he fled on foot. Police, who were on bikes at the time, pursued the man, who at one point struck the front wheel of the officer’s bike causing the officer to flip over the handle bars. The officer suffered lacerations and abrasions and was transported to the hospital where he has since been released. The man was apprehended a short time later without further incident and charged.

            Arrested:

            Antoine Clarence McIver, 18 – No fixed address

            Charged with assault on law enforcement, possession of marijuana and trespassing

            Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

 

Pursuit / DUI

On September 22nd at 12:02AM, police attempted a vehicle stop on Dumfries Rd near Pleasant Rd in Dumfries (22025). The vehicle failed to stop for police and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued until the driver fled on foot in the area of Sharlee Ln and Centreville Rd in Manassas. K-9 was utilized and the accused was located and taken into custody.

            Arrested:

            Nolberto Ramos-Pulido, 29, of Sharlee Ln in Manassas

            Charged with DUI 3rd in 5 years, eluding, driving on suspended and resisting arrest

Assault by Mob

On September 21st at 7:12PM, police responded to the 1900 block of Pohick Creek Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for an assault. The victim, a 16 year old male of Woodbridge, reported to police that walking through a short cut in his neighborhood when he as approached by 3 juvenile males, one of which he knew. The juveniles then got into a physical altercation. No medical attention was needed for the injuries. Investigation continues.
