**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery

On September 09th at 4:46PM, police responded to the 4200 block of Gibson Ct in Dale City (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 28 year old woman of Centreville, reported to police that she had picked up a known male acquaintance and another unknown man at Cloverdale Park and drove them to the area above. While walking to a residence on Gibson Ct, one of the men displayed a knife and both took the victim’s purse before fleeing the area. The victim was not injured during the incident. Through an investigation, the below individual was arrested in connection with this incident. A search was conducted at the accused residence of 4017 Forge Dr in Dale City. Items reported missing in the robbery were recovered. The investigation continues for the other man involved.

            Arrested:

            Wyatt Jamal Hessing, 21, of Forge Dr in Dale City

            Charged with armed robbery, possession of a schedule II narcotic and grand larceny

            Court date unavailable, held on a $10,000 secured bond

On September 20th, the second man wanted in this incident was arrested.

            Arrested:

            Alex Gerald Chirwa, 20, of Farmer Ct in Dale City

            Charged with robbery, grand larceny and possession of schedule II narcotic

            Court date set for October 12, 2010, held on a $10,000 secured bond

**ARRESTS**

Obstruction of Justice

On September 20th at 7:36PM, police responded to Stonewall Jackson High School located at 8820 Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109) for a disorderly. Citizens called police after the accused was becoming disorderly at a football game. The accused initially resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

            Arrested:

            Jeremy Ray Peters, 28, of Carriage Ford Rd in Nokesville

            Charged with intoxicated in public, obstruction of justice and resisting arrest

            Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

Possession of Schedule I or II narcotic

On September 20th, police conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Ashton Ave and Rixlew Ln in Manassas (20109). The driver was subsequently arrested and was found to be in possession of marijuana and other narcotics.

            Arrested:

            Danielle Renee Layne, 25, of Launch Cl # 101 in Manassas

            Charged with possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and possession of marijuana

            Court date unavailable, held on a $2,500 secured bond

**OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS**

Burglary

On September 20th at 8:56PM, police responded to the 10300 block of Winged Elm Cl in Manassas (20110) for a burglary. A neighbor reported to police that he observed an unknown man leaving his neighbors residence through an unlocked garage. The homeowner was inside at the time and was unaware the man was in her garage. The neighbor gave chase but was unable to catch the man. No items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On September 20th at 5:41PM, police responded to the 12600 block of Victory Lakes Lp in Bristow (20136) for an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 11:30PM on September 19th and 8:00AM on September 20th an unknown person(s) attempted to enter their residence through the garage door. Interior brackets on the door were bent as if someone attempted to forcibly open the door with the locking mechanism in place. No entry appeared to have been made or items reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On September 20th at 7:51AM, police responded to the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 9:00PM on September 19th and 7:00AM on September 20th someone attempted to make entry to his residence. The front door locks appeared to have been tampered with but no items were reported missing.
