Police reports: 9-14

Carnal Knowledge

On September 11th, police made an arrest in ongoing sexual assault case which occurred in June and July of 2010. The accused is charged with having sexually assaulted a 13 year old girl while he resided in the residence with the victim and her family. Investigation continues.

            Arrested:Matthew Christian Reilly, 19, of 4519 Lynn Forest Dr in Gainesville

            Charged with 4 counts of carnal knowledge

            Unknown court date, held WITHOUT bond

Possession with Intent to Distribute

On September 13th at 11:07PM, police conducted a vehicle stop in the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge. The driver was in possession of marijuana and arrested.

            Arrested: Christopher Ugo Fernandez, 21, of 14727 Dodson Dr in Woodbridge

            Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana

            Court date set for November 05, 2010, released on a $2,500 unsecured bond

Serious Crash – Fly Out

On September 11th at 9:04PM, police responded to the area of Centreville Rd and Spruce St in Manassas for a crash. The investigation revealed that a 2007 Honda Accord was making a left turn from a private driveway on Centreville Rd when it crossed into the path of a 1997 Toyota Corolla which was traveling northbound on Centreville Rd. The driver of the Honda Accord was not injured. The driver of the Toyota Corolla was flown to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. No charges have been placed at this time. Investigation continues.

            Identified:

            The driver of the 2007 Honda Civic was identified as a 20 year old man of Manassas

            The driver of the 1997 Toyota Corolla was identified as a 42 year old man of Alexandria

Serious Crash – Fly Out

On September 11th at 5:41PM, police responded to the area of John Marshall Hwy and Charles St in Haymarket for a crash. The investigation revealed that a 2005 Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound on John Marshall Hwy traveling around a curve. A pedestrian, who was jogging on John Marshall Hwy, traveled into the path of the motorcycle as it attempted to avoid the pedestrian. The driver of the motorcycle and the pedestrian were flown to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. A passenger on the motorcycle was ground transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. No charges have been placed at this time. Investigation continues.

            Identified:

            The driver of the 2005 Honda motorcycle was identified as a 31 year old man of Sterling

            The passenger of the 2005 Honda motorcycle was identified as a 21 year old woman of       Sterling

            The pedestrian was identified as a 42 year old man of Haymarket

Armed Robbery

On September 13th at 6:14PM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 11171 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas for a robbery. The victim, a 35 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was in the parking lot of the 7-11 when 3 men approached him. One of the men displayed a machete and demanded money. The victim was thrown to the ground and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was taken. The men fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the men.

           

Attempted Armed Robbery

On September 13th at 10:24PM, police responded to the Linden Park Apartments located at 3606 Jurgensen Dr in Triangle for a robbery. The victim, a 57 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that he was unloading his car in the area above when he was approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim attempted to grab the gun and the unknown man fled the area. The victim was not injured and no items were taken.

            Black male, unknown age, 6”0” / 170lbs, thin build, black hair / brown eyes

            Last seen wearing black pants, no shirt and a mask covering the bottom half of his face

Attempted Strong Arm Robbery

On September 12th at 9:47PM, police responded to Kaiser Permanente located at 14139 Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge for an assault. The victim, a 39 year old man of Dale City, reported to police that he was walking through the parking lot above when he was approached by an unknown man who attacked him and demanded the bag the victim was carrying. The unknown man fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was treated for his injuries.

            Black male, between 23 and 28 years of age, 6’4” / 230lbs, muscular build, black hair

            Last seen wearing black shorts, white tank top and black shoes

Indecent Exposure

On September 13th at 5:23PM, police responded to the area of Naples Ln and Pleasant Ln in Dumfries for an indecent exposure. The victim, a 47 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she was walking her dog in the area above when she passed a parked, maroon older model Honda Civic and observed the driver exposing himself. The driver, upon noticing the victim, drove away from the area.

            White male, between 22 and 28 years of age, 6’0” / 180lbs, medium build, brown hair

            Last seen wearing orange shorts

            Last seen driving an older model maroon Honda Civic

Burglary

On September 13th at 6:42PM, police responded to the 12400 block of Old Church Rd IN Nokesville for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30Am and 5:30PM. Entry was made into a shed on the property. Tools valuing around $150 were reported missing.

Burglary

On September 13th at 3:40PM, police responded to the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 2:00PM. Entry appeared to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. Jewelry valuing around $1,300 was reported missing.

Burglary

On September 11th at 1:50PM, police responded to the 15700 block of Vista Dr in Dumfries for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00AM and 1:00PM. Entry appeared to have been gained through unlocked rear door. Electronics valuing around $2,600 were reported missing.

Burglary

On September 12th at 8:10AM, police responded to the Eagle Point Recreation Center located at 16387 Kramer Estate Dr in Woodbridge for a burglary. Security reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 9:00PM. Two doors within the recreation center had been tampered with. One of the doors had the handle broken off and entry was made. The other door had pry marks but no entry appeared to have been made. Damage valuing around $250 was reported, no items were taken.

Attempted Burglary

On September 11th at 10:57AM, police responded to the 11400 block of Corinthia Ct in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 10:50PM and 11:10PM on September 10th, an unknown person attempted to gain entry into the residence through the front door. No entry was made or items reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On September 11th at 9:58AM, police responded to the 2100 block of Old Landing Way in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2:00AM and 2:20AM, a noise was heard coming from the downstairs area. Later that morning, the homeowner noticed the rear sliding glass door was off its track. The damage stopped the door from opening. No entry was made or items reported missing.
