Alleged home invader arrested

On 03-16-10,  late in the evening, detectives from the Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Braddock Drive in  Dale City  and arrested Shyreece Noreid Brown and charged him the below named offenses. Since the home invasion occurred ,  the detectives have been following up on information and tips received.   Brown is accused of being of the men that forced their entry into the victim's home on 03-11-10 , at around 12:39 p.m., on Presidio Way in Lake Ridge.  

On 03-11-10, patrol officers responded to investigate a burglary in progress call.  The victim, a 29 year old woman reported that she heard noises coming from the rear of her townhouse and went to investigate.  It was reported to the police that two unknown suspects kicked in the rear ground level door and forced their way into the townhouse. The suspects forced the victim into the master bedroom that is located in the upper level of the residence, placed her face down on the floor, and demanded drugs. One of the suspects stayed with the victim and the second suspect looked around in the residence for the drugs.  The suspects left when they did not find the drugs realized that  they were in the wrong house.  During the incident, there were three children in the home, all kids under five years old. The victim who is the mother of the children were not harmed during the incident. Brown has been held without bond and has a court date of May 3, 2010.   The investigation continues.
