Innovation gets new tenants
Power Loft, a developer and operator of wholesale data centers, recently celebrated the grand opening of its 220,000-square-foot data center in Innovation Technology Park. During the ceremony, James Coakley, president and CEO of Power Loft, announced the first two tenants of the facility: Capgemini and Horizon Data Center Solutions.
Capgemini, headquartered in Paris, France, serves as a global leader in consulting, technology, outsourcing, and professional services. They will occupy 8,000 square feet and announced their intent to invest $60 million and add six full time jobs in the facility. They will conduct IT outsourcing and IT consulting operations out of the Power Loft facility.
Horizon Data Center Solutions, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, provides managed services, hosting, and co-location data center operations. They initially will occupy 12,500 square feet, and have plans to double their space requirements in the near term. They announced their intent to invest $10 million initially and add 20 full time jobs at the Power Loft facility and the Prince William area.
Power Loft is a privately-held company headquartered in McLean, that specializes in the development and ownership of high-density, high-security data centers, the first of which is located at Innovation.
The Power Loft design redefines high-density data center standards by allowing users to scale from 100 watts to 300 watts per square foot with industry leading efficiencies of power and raised floor space.
The LEED Silver designed data center is available for immediate occupancy.
