Man accidentally shoots neighbor
On 03-11-10, at around 12:31 p.m., the police responded to Hampstead Ridge Court in Woodbridge for an accidental shooting. A 48 year old man was practicing unloading and loading his shotgun. While doing this, a round was fired by the man which went through his upstairs back bedroom wall, through the neighbors wall and out at back window striking a 42 year old woman on the back deck. The shot then proceeded to strike another house. No one else was injured. The woman was flown to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
After the shooting, the man immediately went next door to check on the neighbor's welfare due to the angle of the shooting. Three other adults were in the victims house at the time of the shooting.

Hampstead Ridge Court, Woodbridge
Charges: Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
Released on $2,500 unsecured bond and has a court date of April 21, 2010.
The victim was held in the hospital overnight and it was confirmed she was struck with a single pellet.
