Two men stabbed in Manassas fight

On 03-12-10, at approximately 11:12 p.m., patrol officers responded to Irongate Way in Manassas to investigate a fight in progress.  The investigation revealed that the victims later identified as two adult males, were drinking outside of their residence.  Two of the victims' neighbors walked by and an argument ensued.  The neighbors were later identifies as Mario Flores and Edwin Guerrero.  The incident escalated and a fight broke out.  During the fight Edwin Guerrero stabbed the victims then fled the scene.  One of the victims was stabbed in the chest and arm.  The second victim was stabbed in the chest and head.  Both victims were transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.  

A perimeter was immediately established.  Patrol officers observed a man walking away from the scene and detained him.  The man was identified as Mario Flores.  Further investigation revealed that he was one of the men involved in the fight. Flores was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in public.  Bond and court information for Flores is not available at this time.  

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation and obtained two Felony warrants for the arrest of Edwin Guerrero charging with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding.  The investigation continues.
