Arrests and incidents reported by police on March 10
Arrests
Unlawful Entry 2x, occurred on Mach 5, 2010, around 10:14 p.m. in the 1200 block of Easy Street in Woodbridge. Arrested were Silvia Arevalo Melendez, 37, of Easy Street in Woodbridge and Efrain De Jesus Alvarado-Mancilla on the charge. Melendez and Alvarado-Mancilla are accused of entering a vacant home without authorization. Melendez and Alvarado-Mancilla were each held on $2,000 bond. The court date was not available.
Brandishing a Firearm 2x, occurred on March 6, 2010, around 4:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Buffalo Court in Woodbridge. Arrested was Audrey P. Ateng-Jones, of Buffalo Court on the charge. Ateng-Jones is accused of pointing a gun at two acquaintances during an argument. No one was injured during the incident. Bond and court date information were not available.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm, occurred on March 6, 2010, around 9:39 p.m. in the area of Rollingbrook Drive and Old Bridge Road in Lake Ridge. Patrol officers responded to investigate a disorderly in progress call. When the officers arrived, they found three men yelling at each other and one of them was armed with a gun. Arrested was John Vallejo, 43, of Willowood Drive on the charge. Vallejo is accused of firing his hand gun when he became involved in an argument with two strangers. No one was injured during the incident. Vallejo was released on a summons and has a court date of April 20, 2010.
Incidents
Armed Robbery, occurred on March 6, 2010, around 8:40 p.m. in the 4200 block of Ashmere Circle in Dumfries. The victim, a 48 year old man from Stafford reported that he was robbed at gun point shortly after he delivered pizzas. The victim was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by two unknown armed suspects. The suspects demanded money from the victim. One of the suspects struck the victim in the face with the gun and the victim sustained a small laceration on his face. The suspects are described as two Black males, between 16-20 years old, and were wearing dark clothing.
Attempted Armed Robbery, occurred on March 7, 2010, around 1:40 a.m. in the 2200 block of Henery Watts Loop in Woodbridge. The victim, a 21 year old man reported that he was approached by an unknown man right before he was about enter his residence. The suspect asked for directions and when the victim was getting ready to give him directions, the suspect threatened him with a gun, and demanded money. The victim entered his residence and the suspect left the scene in a light colored sports utility vehicle (SUV). The victim was not injured during the robbery attempt. The suspect is described as a White or middle eastern male, between 20-25 years sold, approximately 5'10" tall, thin built, and was wearing a gray beanie cap with black stripes, a red shirt, a dark colored jacket and jeans.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on March 5, 2010, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:37 p.m. in the 12200 block of Dapple Gray Court in Woodbridge. A five gallon jar containing coins was stolen from the victim's home. There were no signs of forced entry.
