Arrests and incidents reported by police on March 9

Arrests

Aggravated Malicious Wounding: On 03-05-10, at approximately 4::40 p.m., the police responded to the Adult Detention Center in Manassas to investigate the injuries that an inmate sustained during a fight. The incident occurred between two male inmates. A 33 year old man was flown to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim is currently hospitalized. On 03-09-10, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit obtained a warrant for the arrest of Brandon Stevens, 21, of Andorra Drive in Woodbridge and charged him with aggravated malicious wounding. Stevens is presently incarcerated on other unrelated charges. Stevens is being held without bond and has a court date of April 21, 2010.

Threats to Burn, occurred on March 4, 2010, around 11:00 p.m. in the 13500 block of Quate Lane in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a domestic call. A warrant for the arrest of Okoe Lamptey, 40, of Quate Lane in Woodbridge was obtained charging him with threats to burn. Lamptey is accused of threatening to burn his family's home during an argument. On 03-05-10, Lamptey was arrested. Bond and court date information were not available.

Incidents

Statutory Burglary, occurred on March 2, 2010, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the 4500 block of Torrence Place in Woodbridge. Jewelry, a video game system, and cash were stolen from the victim's residence. The incident occurred when the victim was working. Entry to the townhouse was gained by forcing the basement door open. The total amount of the stolen property is $23,674.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on March 3, 2010, between 12:00-11:00 p.m. in the 10300 unit block of Butterfield Street in Manassas. A lap top, a digital camera, a video game system, a camcorder, an ipod, numerous DVD's, and two bottles of alcohol were stolen. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,175. There were no signs of forced entry to the home.
