**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery

On August 22nd at 1:38AM, police responded to the 1200 block of Cronin Dr in Woodbridge for a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim was getting out of his car when he was approached by an unknown man. The victim was assaulted by the man with ‘pepper spray’ but was able to get away and call police. The victim did not require medical attention

            Charged with robbery

Strong Arm Robbery

On August 23rd at 10:31AM, police responded to the 3100 Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries for a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Pasadena MD, reported to police that he was in the area above and approached by an unknown man who demanded money. A witness nearby saw the incident and the man fled the area. No injures were reported or items taken.

**ARRESTS**

Serious Crash

On August 29th at 8:16AM, police responded to the Sonic Soft Car Wash located at 14109 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge for a crash. The investigation revealed that the of a 2006 Jeep SUV was exiting the wash tunnel and accelerated before entering a hard left turn. The Jeep then collided with an unoccupied 2004 Infiniti SUV and 2 pedestrians who were standing near the Infiniti. The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival but returned and taken into custody. The 2 pedestrians were flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and are expected to make full recoveries.

            The pedestrians were identified as a 48 year old woman of Stafford and a 20 year old man of Woodbridge

            Driver of the 2006 Jeep SUV

            Aguirre-Casoverde, Miguel Stanley, 19, of 13788 Lyn St, Woodbridge

            Charged with hit and run and reckless driving

            Court date set for October 6, 2010, held on a $6,000 secured bond

Indecent Liberties with Children

On August 26th, police arrested the below individual on charges stemming from an ongoing investigation. The accused was charged solicited a 13 year old girl of Triangle for sex over the internet.

            Charged with indecent liberties with children, use of communication systems to facilitate offenses involving children and solicitation of prostitution

Reckless Handling of a Firearm

On August 26th at 4:34PM, police responded to the 7600 block of Pruett Pl in Manassas for a firearm violation. The investigation revealed that the accused accidently fired his shot gun into the ceiling of his home. No injuries reported.

            James Louis Hogler, 67, of 7653 Pruett Pl in Manassas

            Charged with reckless handling of a firearm

Child Neglect

On August 29th at 3:30AM, police responded to the area of Big Crest Dr and Rippon Blvd in Woodbridge for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet SUV entered a curve too fast and left the road striking several bushes. The driver left the area prior to police arrival but was located at the listed residence where it was determined that 3 children (11, 12 and 13) were also in the vehicle. No injuries were reported. When police attempted to talk to the driver, he took off running but was apprehended.

            Charged with unauthorized use, driving under the influence of drugs, hit and run, obstruction of justice, driving on a revoked license and 3 counts of child neglect

Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

On August 29th at 12:15AM, police conducted a vehicle stop on a 2005 GMC Yukon in the area of Trentdale Dr and Tamborine Ct in Woodbridge. The driver was taken into custody. A search yielded marijuana and a handgun.

            Cameron Rashan McWilliams, 19, of 18939 Highland Park Dr in Triangle

            Charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of firearm with serial number removed

**WANTED**

Malicious Wounding

On August 27th at 11:53PM, police responded to the 2500 block of Sedgewick Pl in Dumfries for a shooting. The victim, a 23 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was shot in the hand by an unknown black man who was with a known acquaintance to the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The men fled the area, one in a dark colored Chevrolet HHR. A vehicle matching the lookout HHR was spotted by police but refused to stop. The occupants fled on foot.

            Black male, 5’7” / 160lbs, black hair / brown eyes

            Charged with malicious wounding, use of firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a forearm of a firearm by a convicted felon

**OTHER INCIDENT REPORTS**

Serious Crash

On August 28th at 7:52PM, police responded to the area of Cardinal Dr and Mendoza Ln in Woodbridge for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling westbound on Cardinal Ln when it struck a curb and entered the center median striking small trees. Driver was flown out for injuries with life threatening injuries. Speed is a factor in this incident. Investigation continues.

            The driver of the 2006 Suzuki motorcycle was identified as a 27 year old man of Woodbridge

Serious Crash

On August 27th at 1:30PM, police responded to a parking lot in the 14000 block of Foulger Sq in Woodbridge for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Volkswagen compact was making a left turn and crossed paths in front of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle. The driver was ejected from the bike and flown to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been placed at this time. Investigation continues.

            The driver of the 2008 Volkswagen compact was identified as a 24 year old woman of Woodbridge

            The driver of the 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was identified as a 42 year old man of Woodbridge

Suicide

On August 30th at 12:00AM, police responded to the area of Bellingham Dr and McGraw’s Corner in Gainesville for a suicide. The victim called the Prince William County Communications Center and reported to personnel that he was going to commit suicide. Patrol units and K-9 responded to the area and located the victim at the top of a hill near the entrance to Somerset Crossing Apartments. As police were communicating with the victim, he shot himself in the head. No other injuries reported.

            Justin Timothy Goff, 23, of 7500 Equinox Landing Ct in Gainesville

Armed Robbery

On August 27th at 12:40AM, police responded to the area of Sudley Manor Dr and Wedgewood Dr in Manassas for a robbery. The victim, a 61 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the area and approached by 2 unknown men. One displayed a handgun and demanded money. The 2 men took the victim’s wallet and fled the area. No injuries reported.

            2 black men—

            1st male was between 20 and 25 years of age, 6’0” / 170lbs, muscular build, braided black hair

            Last seen wearing tan shorts

            2nd male was between 20 and 25 years of age, 6’0” / 170lbs, muscular build

            Last seen wearing gray shorts and a black skull cap

Armed Robbery

On August 28th at 1:29AM, police responded to Applebee’s located at 13850 Noblewood Plz in Woodbridge for a robbery. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Stafford and employee of the restaurant, reported to police that she was approached by an unknown man who entered the restaurant after closing. The man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim and 2 other employees were forced to the rear of the restaurant. The man the man left the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. No injuries reported.  

            Lookout:

            White, possibly Hispanic, male unknown age, 5’9” / 225lbs, medium build

            Last seen wearing dark blue jeans, dark blue/black sweatshirt, navy blue and white bandana and a white hat

Prowler

On August 28th at 9:37PM, police responded to the 18100 block of Purvis Dr in Triangle for a prowler. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that she was watching TV and heard a tapping. When she looked out the window, she saw an unknown man looking in at her. No description could be given.

Burglary

On August 25th at 12:30PM, police responded to the 15100 block of Stepping Stone Dr in Haymarket for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that he was in his basement when he saw 2 men open his sliding glass door. When the men saw the homeowner, they took off running with another unknown man. No items were reported missing.

            1st male was between 25 and 35 years of age, 6’1” / 170lbs, medium build

            Last seen wearing dark colored clothing

            2nd male was between 25 and 35 years of age, 5’4” / 130lbs, medium build

            Last seen wearing a red t-shirt and pants

            3rd male, unknown age and no description

Burglary

On August 29th at 9:24AM< police responded to the Tobacco Discounters located at 18079 Triangle Shopping Center in Dumfries for a burglary. Employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8”00PM on August 28th and 9:20AM on August 29th. Entry appeared to have been gained through the back door which had been pried opened. Items valuing around $4,600 were reported missing.

Burglary

On August 29th at 11:53PM, police responded to the 19000 block of Fuller Heights Rd in Triangle for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:20PM and 11:30PM on August 27th. There were no signs of forced entry. A laptop valued at $1,400 was reported missing.

Burglary

On August 25th at 11:33AM, police responded to the Public Storage located at 10305 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas for a burglary. Employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on August 24th and 6:00AM on August 25th. Entry was made to several units which had their locks cut off. It was unknown what or how much property was missing.

Burglary

On August 25th at 2:12PM, police responded to the Marriot Springhill and Suites located at 14325 Crossing Pl in Woodbridge for a burglary. Employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30PM on August 20th and 9:23AM on August 21st. The hotel is currently under construction. An unknown person removed 17 flat screen TV’s valued at $17,000.

Burglary

On August 28th at 5:20PM, police responded to the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:30PM and 4:56PM. Entry appeared to have been made through a back sliding glass door which had been pried open. A laptop valued around $420 was reported missing.

Burglary

On August 28th at 12:08PM, police responded to the 11200 block of Balls Ford Rd in Manassas for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM on July 28th and 7:00Am on August 26th. Entry appeared to have been gained through a window which was broken out. Copper valued around $600 was reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On August 25th at 2:17PM, police responded to the 14700 block of Parson Weems Lp in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. Residents reported to police that they were at home when someone kicked in their front door. No entry was made or items reported missing. No description could be given.

Attempted Burglary

On August 25th at 9:50PM, police responded to the 16000 block of Henderson Ln in Woodridge for an attempted burglary. The homeowners reported to police that they heard someone attempting to open their front door. No entry was made or items reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On August 26th at 3:29AM, police responded to the 13600 block of Lynn St in Woodbridge for an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that they were asleep and heard a loud bang from the front door. The front door had been forced opened. No entry was made or items reported missing.

Attempted Burglary

On August 27th at 2:00AM, police responded to the 10100 block of Portsmouth Rd in Manassas for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that they were asleep and heard a loud bang. The homeowner didn’t realize the damage until later that morning. No entry was made or items reported missing.
