Arrests and incidents reported by police on Sept. 23
Arrests
Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle 3x, occurred on September 21, 2009, around 6:15 p.m. in the area of Manchester Way and Knightsbridge Drive in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that she was driving Manchester Way when her 2002, Chrysler, Town & Country, van was shot at breaking a window. During the investigation, the identity of the subjects involved was developed and subsequently were arrested. The van was shot at with an air soft gun and it was recovered. No one was injured during the incident. The three juveniles were identified as two 12-year-old and one 14-year-old males from Lake Ridge. The juveniles were released to a parent and they will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Incidents
Armed Robbery, occurred on September 21, 2009, around 5:00 p.m. in the area of Westminister Lane and Winewood Lane in Dale City. The victim, a 28-year-old man from Dale City reported that he was relieved of his cell phone and wallet. The victim reported that he was approached from behind and threatened with an unknown object then was ordered to give up his property. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 20-29-years-old, 5'9" tall, thinly built, and was wearing a multicolored scarf, a gray shirt and jeans. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
Armed Robbery, occurred on September 22, 2009, around 9:58 p.m.at a convenience store located in the 3100 block of River Heritage Boulevard in Dumfries. The store clerks reported that two armed subjects entered the store and robbed it. The suspects ordered the victims to turn away from them and place their hands in the air. Then one of the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register drawers and they left the scene. The first suspect is described as an adult male, between 18-21-years-old, approximately 5'8" tall, thinly built, and was wearing a blue jeans with white faded spots, a red hooded sweatshirt with a white letter "I" in the front, and had his face covered with a black bandana. The second suspect was described as a Black male, between 18-21-years-old, approximately 6'0" tall, medium built, and was wearing a black short sleeve shirt with a collar, blue jeans, and was wearing gloves. The victims were not injured during the robbery.
Statutory Burglary, occurred around 1:00 p.m. in the 13700 block of Kerrydale Road in Dale City. The victim reported that someone rang the door bell but he didn't answer it. Shortly after, he heard noise in his basement and went to investigate. The victim found a man standing in his basement. The suspect ran from the scene. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 20-25-years-old, approximately 6'0" tall, medium built, black hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a white t-shirt, khaki shorts, and was carrying an orange back pack.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on September 21, 2009, between 7:10 a.m. 4:30 p.m. in the 13000 block of Ketterman Drive in Woodbridge. A lap top computer and jewelry valued at $1,150. There were no signs of forced entry to the house.
Statutory Burglary, occurred between September 21, 2009, around 8:40 a.m. and September 22, 2009, around 3:15 a.m. in the 13100 block of Haddock Road in Woodbridge. Two shot guns, a revolver, a bamboo jewelry box and a set silver flatware were stolen. The total amount of the stolen property is $2,020. Entry to the house was gained through an unlocked window.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between September 19, 2009, around 10:00 p.m. and September 20, 2009, around 7:00 a.m. in the 14900 block of Enterprise Lane in Woodbridge. A 1995, Dodge, Neon, 4-door, green in color, valued at $600 was stolen. The victim had parked his vehicle near his residence when it was stolen.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on September 20, 2009, between 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the 3500 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City. A 2001, Cadillac, SLS, 4-door, gray in color, valued at $5,000 was stolen.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between September 18, 2009, around 6:00 p.m. and September 21, 2009, around 7:00 a.m. in the 13100 block of Kerrydale Road in Woodbridge. The victim reported that his work van was broken into and numerous plumbing tools were stolen. A hammer drill, saws, and digital refrigerant scale were some of the stolen items. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,670. Entry to the vehicle was gained by forcing a door open.
Grand Larceny, occurred between September 16, 2009, around 11;00 p.m. and September 22, 2009, around 12:46 a.m. in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge. Three amusement machines were broken into and had the coins stolen. The locks and security bars were cut to gain access to the money. Over $200 in coins was stolen.
