Arrests and incidents reported by police on Sept. 10
Arrests
Possession of a Concealed Weapon (hatchet, knife), Intoxicated in Public, occurred on September 6, 2009, around 8:35 a.m. in the 17900 block of Maine Street in Dumfries. A patrol officer responded to investigate an intoxicated subject call. Arrested was Tommy Clifton Baggett, 50, of Main Street in Dumfries on the charges. Initially Baggett was arrested for being intoxicated in public. Search incident to arrest, the officer found the weapons that Baggett had concealed. Baggett was released on summonses and has a court date of October 26, 2009.
Possession of Cocaine, occurred on September 3, 2009, around 9:15 p.m. in the area of Kentucky Avenue and Featherstone Road in Woodbridge. A patrol officer observed a suspicious activity and stopped to investigate. During the investigation the officer found that the accused were in possession of drugs. Arrested were Andre Sylvester Dabney, 49, of Dyer Drive and Shannon Joanna Rose, 32 of Tamarack Place both from Woodbridge. Dabney was held without bond and Rose was held on $7, 500 bond. Dabney and Rose have a court date of October 5, 2009.
Possession of Cocaine 2x , Intoxicated in Public 2x, occurred on September 4, 2009, around 11:39 a.m. in the 1700 block of Featherstone Road in Woodbridge. A patrol officer observed a suspicious activity and stopped to investigate. Arrested were Delvin Roderick Lott, 32, of Tenor Court and Derrick Demario Harris, 29, of Tulip Tree Place, both from Woodbridge. Lott and Harris were initially arrested for being intoxicated in public. Search incident to arrest, the officer discovered that they were in possession of the drugs. Lott and Harris were each held on $2000 bond. The court date was not available.
Possession of Cocaine, occurred on September 7, 2009, around 2:27 a.m. in the 1500 block of Cherry Hill Road in Woodbridge. The police were called to investigate an intoxicated customer who was causing problems at a restaurant. The police arrested Kristin Nichole Dixon, 28, of Kay Dot Road, Ft. Washington, Maryland, for being intoxicated in public. Search incident to arrest, the officer discovered that Dixon was in possession of the drugs. Dixon was held on $3,000 bond and has a court date of November 17, 2009.
Incidents
Indecent Exposure, occurred on September 6, 2009, around 11:30 at a recreation center located in the 14300 block of Minnieville Road in Dale City. The victim, a 44-year-old woman from Winchester reported that she was in the women's locker room when an unknown man walked in and exposed himself. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 20-30-years-old, approximately 5'8" tall, medium built, black hair, black silk gym pants. The suspect left the scene prior to the arrival of the police.
Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on September 8, 2009, around 3:51 p.m. in the 2200 block of Tacketts Mill Drive in Lake Ridge. The victim, a 42-year-old man from Woodbridge, reported that he was talking on his cell phone when he was attacked from behind. The victim was thrown to the ground and then held on the ground by one of the suspects. The remaining suspects searched his pockets relieving him of his wallet, personal documentation, and cell phone. The suspects ran from the scene. A look out was broadcast. Officer Samuel Edmonds stopped a subject matching the description of one the robbery suspects. The subject was identified as a 17-year-old male from Woodbridge. The investigation revealed the juvenile and three additional males had robbed the victim. The juvenile was charged with robbery and was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The accused will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The property of the victim was not recovered. The investigation continues. The victim was not injured during the robbery.
Throwing Missiles at an Occupied Dwelling, occurred on September 5, 2009, around 12:30 a.m. in the 1600 unit block of Renate Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that he sitting in his living room when the sliding glass door was struck with something. The victim checked the door and it had been struck with a BB. The door had a small hole then it shattered crashing on the floor. No one was injured during the incident.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on September 9, 2009, between 6:00 a.m. and 4:10 p.m. in the 8300 block of Irongate Way in Manassas. The victim reported that he went to work and when he returned, he found the rear sliding glass door open. The victim inspected his townhouse and found out that a stereo had been stolen and the wall had been spray painted with gang graffiti.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on September 10, 2009, around 1:40 a.m. in the 8000 block of Centreville Road in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a burglary to a business in progress. A citizen reported he observed one of three suspects using a ladder to gain entry into a business. When the officers arrived the suspects had left the scene. The rear door to the business was tampered with however entry was not made. The suspects were described as three Hispanic males, approximately 5'6" tall. One of the suspects had a white towel wrapped around the head. Nothing was stolen from the business.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between September 7, 2009, around 8:00 p.m. and September 8, 2009, around 5:00 a.m. in the 13400 block of Kerrydale Road in Woodbridge. A 1993, Honda, Accord, 4-door, green in color, valued at $2,000 was stolen. The victim had parked her vehicle in front of her house when it was stolen.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between September 8, 2009, around 10:00 p.m. and September 9, 2009, around 11:00 a.m. in the 7700 block of Keara Court in Manassas. Numerous CD's, two pair of shoes, and DVD's were stolen from the victim's 1990, Honda, Civic. The victim had parked her vehicle near her residence and when she went to check her vehicle the next day she found it with one of the windows broken and her property missing.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between September 8, 2009, around 7:00 p.m. and September 9, 2009, around 8:00 a.m. in the area of Bannerwood Drive and Wilmington Street in Manassas. The victim reported that he had parked his work van near his residence and when he returned he found the rear door forced open and his property missing. $1,805 in plumbing tools was stolen.
