Police reports: 10-27
Attempted Armed Robbery, occurred on October 26, 2009, around 7:39 p.m. at a 7/11 convenience store located at 13639 Dumfries Road in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a robbery-in-progress call. When the officers arrived, they took a man into custody, later identified as Jamar D. Ford, 23, of Plainville Road in Dale City. It was reported to police that Ford entered the store and was armed with a knife, then he threatened one of the clerks with the knife and asked for money. The two clerks that were working exited the store and were not injured during the robbery. Ford was charged with attempted armed robbery is being held without bond and has a court date of December 18, 2009.
Incidents
Grand Larceny, occurred on October 22, 2009, between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the 15300 block of Elizabeth Burbage Loop in Woodbridge. A microwave valued at $350 was stolen from a house that is under construction.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between October 22, 2009, around 7:00 p.m. and October 23, 2009, around 7:00 a.m. in the 19100 block of Potomac Crest Drive in Triangle. A GPS unit was stolen from 2001, BMW. The victim had parked his vehicle in the driveway of his residence. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of the stolen property is $250.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between October 25, 2009, around 7:00 p.m. and October 26, 2009, around 1:30 a.m. in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Drive Woodbridge. The stereo from a 2003, Honda, Civic, was stolen. The total amount of the stolen property is $400. Entry to the vehicle was gained by breaking a window.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on October 23, 2009, between 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the 13900 block of Noblewood Plaza in Woodbridge. A 1992, Honda, Civic, 3-door, red in color, valued at $5,000 was stolen. The incident occurred when the victim parked his vehicle to go to the gym and when he returned it had been stolen.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between October 24, 2009, around 10:00 p.m. and October 25, 2009, around 8:30 a.m. in the 3400 block of Beaumont Road in Dale City. A 1996, Honda, Accord, 4-door, dark green in color, valued at $1,000 was stolen. The vehicle was stolen from the victim's driveway.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between October 24, 2009, around 9:30 p.m. and October 25, 2009, around 9:00 a.m. at a dealership located in the 13600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. A 2003, Nissan, Sentra, 4-door, blue in color, valued at $5,000 was stolen from the parking lot.
