Four arrested in string of burglaries

Detectives from the Prince William County Police Burglary Unit have charged four men in connection with four commercial burglaries and one residential burglary. On 10-07-09, The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office notified PWCPD of the arrests of the named subjects. The detectives followed up the on the information received and subsequently charged them in connection to the burglaries that occurred in the County. Between October 19 and 22, warrants for the arrests of Pinckney, Sharp, Fenton, and Alvis were obtained. Alvis is the only subject being held at Prince William-Manasss Regional Adult Detention Center. The accused are being held without bond and the investigation continues. The court date is available.

Burglarized Business

Between September 17, 2009, around p.m. and October 18, 2009, around 5:30 a.m., Pearl Nail, located at 13055 Fitzwater Drive in Nokesville. A lap top computer was stolen. Entry was gained by breaking the front glass door.

Between September 28, 2009, around 7:00 p.m. and September 29, 2009, around 7:00 a.m, Brentsville Superette, located at 12319 Bristow Road in Bristow. Cash was stolen from the convenience store. Entry was gained by breaking the glass of the front door.

Between September 29, 2009, around 4:00 p.m. and September 30, 2009, around midnight, a house located in the 4500 block of Old Field drive in Gainesville was burglarized. Cash and dinner plates and dinner bowls were stolen. Entrance to the house was gained by forcing a rear door open.

Between September 29, 2009, around 9:15 p.m. and September 30, 2009, around 9:45 a.m., Evergreen Center located at 3511 James Madison Highway in Haymarket. Several cartons of cigarettes, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, an undisclosed amount of cash, and cigars were stolen. Entry was gained by forcing the front door open.

On October 3, 2009, between 2:00-2:30 a.m., Eden's Natural Market located at 16330 Lee Highway in Gainesville. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Entry to the business was gained by forcing a window open.
