Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 11



Arrests

Possession of Schedule II Substance (oxycontin), occurred on November 8, 2009, around 10:09 p.m. in the 5500 block of Staples Mill Plaza in Dale City. The police responded to investigate a drug activity complaint. The complainant reported that two people were doing drugs inside a parked vehicle. Further investigation led to the arrest of two subjects. Daniel Walter Ing, 24, of Skibbereen Place in Springfield, and So Hee Lee, 22, of 14102 Lotus Lane in Centreville were charged with possession of schedule II substance. Ing and Lee did not have an authorized prescription for the medication. Ing and Lee were each held on $2,000 and have a scheduled court date of December 11, 2009.

Grand Larceny, occurred on November 9, 2009, around 10:00 a.m. at department store located in the 13700 Foulger Square in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a shoplifting in progress. Arrested was Joyce Ann Todd, 62-years-old, of Tompkin Court in Dumfries on the charge. Todd is accused of walking out of the store without paying $214.18 in merchandise. Todd was released on $5,000 unsecured bond. The court date was not available.

Grand Larceny, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, occurred on November 9, 2009, around 4:10 p.m. at a department store located in the 2400 block of Prince William County Parkway in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a shoplifting complaint. Latrice Marie Cooper, 22, of Cloverdale Road in Dale City was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny. Cooper is accused of walking out of the store without paying a $286.88 in merchandise. Derrick Wade, 21, of Cloverdale Road was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny. Wade is accused of being the "look-out" during the incident. Cooper and Wade were each held on $3,000 bond and have a schedule court date of December 21, 2009.

Incidents

Attempted Armed Robbery, occurred on November 7, 2009, around 11:40 p.m. in the parking lot of convenience store located in the 14400 block of Minnieville Road in Dale City. The victim, a 17-year-old boy from Manassas reported that he was sitting in rear passenger seat of his friend's car when an unknown man opened the driver's side door and began to search through the car. The suspect then demanded money from the victim and began to grab the victim's pant's pockets. The suspect threatened the victim with a knife when he refused to give him any money. The suspect left the scene in a 4-door green sedan without taking anything from the victim. The victim was not injured during the robbery attempt. The suspect is described as a White male, between 21-24-years-old, approximately 6'1" tall, and medium built.

Attempted Armed Robbery, occurred on November 9, 2009, around 9:00 p.m. at a fast food restaurant located in the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a robbery-in-progress call. The 43-year-old employee reported that the suspect entered the business, implied that he was armed with a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect left the scene without taking anything when the victim did not comply with his orders. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 25-35-years-old, approximately 6'2" tall, medium built, and was wearing a black hooded jacket with fur, black pants, and a brown scarf. The victim was not injured during the robbery attempt.

Grand Larceny, occurred between November 6, 2009, around 10:00 a.m. and November 8, 2009, around 11:30 a.m. in the 8100 block of Sinclair Mill Road in Manassas. The victim reported that an air conditioning unit was stolen. The total amount of the stolen property is $300.

Attempted Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 8, 2009, between 6:30-11:00 p.m. in the 4100 block of Ashmere Circle in Dumfries. The victim reported that a rear sliding glass door of his house was tampered with. Entry to the house was not gained and nothing was stolen.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 5, 2009, between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the 13700 block of Bluefin drive in Woodbridge. A video game system and a diamond ring were stolen from the victim's home. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,900. There were no signs of forced entry to the house.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 9, 2009, between 5:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the 13400 block of Kingsman Road in Dale City. The victim reported that she returned home from work and found some areas in her house had been disturbed and removed. A video game system, video games, jewelry, VCR/DVD player, a video camcorder, prescription medication, and cash were stolen from the house. The total amount of the stolen property is $2,150. Entry to the house was gained by breaking a basement window.
