Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 5

Arrests

Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor 2x, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, occurred on November 4, 2009, around 12:20 a.m., in the 8800 block of Flatbush Court in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a complaint in reference to party where alcohol was being served to juveniles. Arrested was Christopher Boris Farley, 19, of Flatbush Court on the charges. Farley is accused of providing alcohol to a 17-year-old girl from Manassas Park and a 17-year-old male from Manassas. Farley was held without bond and has a court date of December 16, 2009.

Possession of Schedule I and II Substance 5X ( methadone, fentanyl, oxycontin, oxycodone, morphine sulfate), Possession of Marijuana, occurred on November 2, 2009, around 10:41 p.m. in the area of Plantation Lane and Victoria Street in Manassas. A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of narcotics without a prescription from a doctor. The driver was identified as Michael Joseph Rowland, 54, of Rickover Court in Manassas and was arrested for the above named offenses. Rowland was held without bond and has a court date of December 16, 2009.

Possession of Cocaine, Intoxicated in Public, occurred on October 31, 2009, around 10:30 p.m. in the 11900 unit block of Coverstone Hill Circle in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a complaint in reference to an intoxicated subject. Arrested was Angel Giron Melcor, 46, of no fixed address. Search incident to arrest, the officer discovered that Melcor was in possession of drugs. Melcor was held on $1,000 bond and has a court date of January 22, 2010.

Possession of Heroin 2x, occurred on October around 12:13 a.m. in the area of Highland Avenue and McBeth Street in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a suspicious persons call. Arrested were Samantha Leigh Curtis, 24, of Raymond Drive in Sumerduck and Adam Flemming Crabtree, 29, of Library Lane in Bealeton, both cities in Virginia. Curtis was held on $3,500 bond and Crabtree was held on $2,500 bond. They have a scheduled court date of December 18, 2009.

Malicious Wounding 3x, and Brandishing a Firearm 3x, occurred on November 1, 2009, around 1:21 a.m. in the 7500 block of Purdue Court in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a fight in progress call. The accused was asked to leave a party. After being told to leave, the accused took out a box cutter and cut a 24-year-old man in the hand and struck a 30-year-old woman on the head with an unknown object injuring her head. The accused brandished a hand gun and threatened the victims with it before he left the scene. Approximately 10-minutes later, the accused returned to the scene. This time the accused was armed with a gun and a bat. The third victim was sitting in the front stoop of the townhouse when the accused struck him on the head with the gun and the bat. The third victim was identified as a 25-year-old man. The victims were treated at a local hospital for their injuries. The accused was identified as Justin Finley, 20-years-old, of Old Carolina Road in Gainesville. Finley left the scene prior to the arrival of the police. Three warrants for malicious wounding and three warrants for brandishing a firearm were obtained for the arrest of Finley. Later on the same day, a patrol officer observed Finley when he entered a restaurant located in the area of Coverstone Drive and Sudley Road and took him into custody. Finley was held without bond. The court date was not available.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm, occurred on November 2, 2009, around 12:53 a.m. in the 7900 block of Rugby Road in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a firearms violation call. During the investigation, Jason Frederick Dutrow, 26, of Rugby Road was arrested and charged with the above name offense. Dutrow is accused of discharging his handgun when he was in the garage. Dutrow was held without bond and has a court date of December 8, 2009.

Incident

Malicious Wounding, occurred on November 1, 2009, around 1:10 a.m. in the 8300 block of Claremont Street in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a fight in progress call. When the officers arrived, they found a man, unconscious, lying on his back in the street. The victim was suffering from head injuries. The victim was flown to an area hospital and was later identified as 23-year-old man from Manassas. It was reported to police that at least three fights had occurred at a party and people were fighting in the front yard of a house and in the street. The victim remains hospitalized. The investigation continues.
