Arrests and incidents reported by police on May 19


Crash:

 

Single-vehicle crash, occurred on May 19, 2009, around 7:12 a.m. on Catharpin Road just south of Fallen Oaks Place. A 75-year-old Marshall, Va., man was flown to a regional hospital as a precaution after the incident. The man was traveling north on Catharpin Road when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle failed to negotiate a left turn in the roadway. The car, a 2006 Mercury Mariner, left the roadway and collided with several trees before coming to a rest. The investigation into the incident continues.

 

Arrests:

 

Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 18, 2009, around 10:23 a.m. in the 15300 block of Warm Springs Lane in the Manassas area. Police responded to a loud party call and arrested Anthony Waller, 19, of Warm Springs Lane in the Manassas area on the charge. He was released on a summons and has a court date of June 23, 2009.

 

Incidents:

 

Grand Larceny, occurred between May 15, 2009, around 5 p.m. and May 18, 2009, around 8:15 a.m. in the 7000 unit block of Lakota Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a commercial vacuum pump was stolen from a maintenance shed at the rear of the residence lot. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $465.

 

Grand Larceny, occurred between May 9, 2009, around 6 p.m. and May 10, 2009, around 8 a.m. in the 100 block of Dumfries Drive in Dumfries. The victim reported that a bicycle was stolen from a shed in the residence yard. The lock was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $200.

 

Grand Larceny, occurred on May 17, 2009, around 8:30 a.m. at a grocery store in the 14800 block of Dining Way in Woodbridge. The victim reported that multiple packages of men’s razors and shaving cartridges were stolen from the store by an unknown person who walked out with them without paying for them. The total amount of property stolen is $293.

 

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between May 17, 2009, around 6 p.m. and May 18, 2009, around 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 unit block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a 2006 silver Toyota Scion TC, which was parked in the residence lot. The total amount of property stolen is $9,000.

 

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between May 9, 2009, around 4 p.m. and May 12, 2009, around 7 a.m. in the 5800 block of Riverside Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a bag of tools and other equipment was stolen from the work vehicle, which was parked in the business parking lot. The locks were removed from the vehicle to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $2,300.

 

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between May 11, 2009, around 10:30 a.m. and May 13, 2009, around 11 a.m. in the 13400 block of Fowke Lane in Woodbridge. The victim reported that prescription medication was stolen from the vehicle, which had been towed and stored at a lot in another part of town. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $500.

 

Statutory Burglary and Grand Larceny, occurred on May 18, 2009, between 7:50 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the 14700 block of Edgewater Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a laptop computer, DJ equipment, a video game system, a cell phone and other items were stolen from the residence. A rear sliding door was pried to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,950.

 

Statutory Burglary and Grand Larceny, occurred on May 17, 2009, between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 12500 block of Oakwood Drive in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a digital camera, cash, knives and cigarettes were stolen from the residence. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $695.
