Arrests and incidents reported by police on May 11
Arrests
Possession of Cocaine, occurred on May 7, 2009, around 9:50 a.m. in the 14900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a drug activity complaint. Arrested was Kenneth Michael Hostetter, 64, of Old Triangle Road in Triangle on the charge. During the investigation the officer recovered the drugs and the paraphernalia. Hostetter was held on $3,500 bond. The court date was not available.
Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 9, 2009, around 11:50 a.m. in the area of Gordon Boulevard and Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. Initially the police responded to investigate a domestic-in-progress. The accused were involved in an argument when they stopped to buy gas. During the investigation it was learned that the accused were in possession of a vehicle that they were not authorized to be driving. The vehicle was a 2009, Toyota, Corolla, and it had been rented in Miami. Arrested were, Kemar Anthony Thompson, 26, of NE Miami Court, and Rachel Suzanne Williams, 20, of NE 28 Street, both from Miami. Thompson and Williams are accused of borrowing the rental vehicle from a friend and failed to return it. Williams was additionally charged with possession of marijuana. Bond and court date information were not available.
Statutory Burglary, Petit Larceny, Destruction of Property, Possession of Burglarious Tools, Possession of Stolen Property, the police responded to a gas station to investigate an alarm to a business. When the officers arrived they found one of the doors completely shattered and inside the store some of the items had been tossed around. Lieutenant S. Dillon was assisting with the investigation when he observed two juveniles near the scene. The juveniles were identified as two-15-year-old males from the Woodbridge area. Further investigation revealed that the juveniles had burglarized the store and stole beer and sodas. The juveniles were arrested and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center. The juveniles will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Malicious Wounding, occurred on May 8, 2009, around 6:00 p.m. in the area of Flotsam Lane and Celestial Drive in Woodbridge. Arrested was Sheronica Rene Prater, 39, of Steerage Circle, Woodbridge, on the charge. Prater and her 12-year-old daughter were involved in an argument. Prater entered her vehicle and her daughter walked in front of her vehicle. Prater accelerated her vehicle striking her daughter. The daughter suffered minor injuries. Prater was charged with Malicious Wounding and was released on her own recognizance. Prater will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Incidents
Armed Robbery, occurred on May 8, 2009, around 10:15 p.m. in the 14700 block of Darbydale Drive in Dale City. The victim, a 28-year-old man from Dale City reported that he was talking on the phone near a convenience store when he was approached by three unknown suspects. One of the suspects demanded for cash and struck the victim with an unknown object when the victim told him that he didn't have any. The suspects searched the victim and relieved him of his wallet and cash. The victim suffered a laceration on his head and was treated at a local hospital. The suspects are described as three Black males wearing all black clothes.
Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on May 7, 2009, around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Westridge Drive and Quarterhorse Lane in Woodbridge. The victim a 13-year-old boy from Woodbridge reported that he had been assaulted and relieved of his bicycle. The victim reported that he was riding his cousin's bike and the suspects crossed the street and approached him. One of the suspects demanded he give up the bicycle. The victim was punched in the stomach when he declined. The suspects took the bicycle and left the scene. The first suspect is described as a Black male, between 15-18-years-old, approximately 5'10" tall, medium built, and was wearing a black shirt, blue pants, black boots, and a black bandana. The second suspect is described as a Black male, between 15-18-years-old, approximately 6'1" tall, and medium built, and was wearing a black hoodie, blue/black jeans with a "tiger" printed on each rear pocket, and white sneakers. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Malicious Wounding, occurred on May 10, 2009, around 1:52 a.m. in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Rosedale Court in Woodbridge. The victim, a 21-year-old man reported that he had been assaulted "somewhere" in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Rosedale Court. The victim was transported to a local hospital by unknown persons with lacerations on right forearm and fingers. The victim was not able to provide further information due to his high level of intoxication.
Throwing Missiles at an Occupied Vehicle, occurred on May 9, 2009, around 2:14 a.m. in the 6000 block of Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge. The victim reported that she on Dale Boulevard when her 1999, KIA, Van was struck with an unknown object. The vehicle was not damaged and the victim was not injured during the incident.
Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between May 7, 2009, around 11:30 and May 8, 2009, around 7:50 a.m. of 13100 block of Queensdale Drive in Woodbridge. Two GPS's, two iPods, a laptop computer, computer equipment, and a cell phone and accessories were stolen from two vehicles. The total amount of the stolen property is $3,450. The victims had parked their vehicles in their driveway. There were no signs of forced entry.
Grand Larceny, occurred on May 7, 2009, around 2:25 p.m. in a hardware store located in the 14000 block of Foulger Square in Woodbridge. The victim reported that she was placed her purse in the shopping cart and left it unattended for a short time. When she returned her purse and its contents had been stolen. The total amount of the stolen property is $260.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on May 9, 2009, between midnight and 8:00 a.m. in the 13600 block of Kingsman Road in Woodbridge. The victim reported that his 1993, Honda, Accord, 4-door, dark green in color, valued at $2,500 was stolen. The victim had parked his vehicle in front of his residence when it was stolen.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between May 8, 2009, around 11:30 p.m. and May 9, 2009, around 6:30 a.m. in the 13700 block of Kaywood Drive in Woodbridge. A 1995, Honda, Accord, 2-door, maroon in color, valued at $3,000 was stolen. The victim had parked the vehicle near his residence.
