Suspicious person reported in Lake Ridge
There have been reports of a suspicious person in the area of Lake Ridge. Please report all suspicious persons, suspicious activities, and suspicious vehicles to Prince William County Police Department at 703-792-6500 or the emergency number 911. The victims's ages are between 14-16-years-old and they were not touched during the encounters. In addition, the Crime Prevention Unit e-mailed the attached document on the Prince William County e-notification system. The information was also sent to the neighborhood watch programs in the Lake Ridge area.
The first incident occurred on June 13, 2009, around 1:20 p.m. at Cotton Mill Drive and Peachtree Court. The suspect stopped his vehicle and approached two young girls. The suspect asked them questions about the area and said indecent comments to them. The suspect then drove away on Cotton Mill Drive. The victims were not injured. The suspect was described as a White male, between 20-25-year-old, and was wearing a white t-shirt with red letters and a baseball hat. The suspect was driving a 4-door blue sedan.
The second incident occurred on June 14, 2009, around 1:00 p.m. in the area of Cotton Mill Drive and Mohican Road. The suspect approached the victim and said indecent comments to the victim. The suspect drove away in a 4-door-silver sedan. The suspect was described as a White male between 20-25-years-old, approximately 5'2" tall, and thinly built.
The third incident also occurred on June 14, 2009, around 6:20 p.m. in the 11900 block of Cotton Mill Drive. The suspect approached and waved at a young girl that was playing in front of her house. The suspect left the scene when he was approached by an adult. The suspect is described as a male between 30-40-years-old with black hair. The suspect drove away in a 4-door light blue sedan.
The fourth incident occurred on June 20, 2009, in the area of Cotton Mills Drive and Hedges Run Drive around 1:00 p.m. The suspect approached two young girls and asked them for directions. The suspect was not wearing pants and began to make indecent gestures in the view of the victims then drove away in a 4-door light blue sedan. The suspect is described as a 30-45-years-old man, approximately 6'0" tall, thinly built, brown hair and was wearing a gray t-shirt.
