Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 24
 

Arrests

Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, occurred on June 21, 2009, around 7:21 p.m. in the 11200 block of Chatterly Loop in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a suspicious person complaint. The officers arrested a 17-year-old male from Manassas on the named charges. The juvenile was transported to a group home and he will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Brandishing of a Firearm, occurred on June 19, 2009, around 3:15 p.m. on Basilwood Drive in Nokesville. The police responded to investigate an incident in which a firearm had been brandished. Arrested was Joseph Robert Ott, 77, of Basilwood Drive on the charge. Ott is accused of threatening his neighbor with a hand gun and shoot him if the neighbor entered his property to retrieve his ball. The victim a 25-year-old man was not injured during the incident. Ott was released on a summons and has a court date of July 14, 2009.

Intoxicated in Public, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, occurred on June 19, 2009, around 5:09 p.m. in the 10100 block of Statesboro Court in Manassas. Arrested was Patricia Ann Frederick, 45, of Statesboro Court on the charges. Frederick was reported missing and when the officers responded to her residence to investigate the incident, Frederick showed up intoxicated. Frederick is accused of acting in a disorderly manner when the officers attempted to talk to her. Frederick began to fight the officers when she was told that she was under arrest for being intoxicated in public and disorderly conduct. Bond and court date information were not available.

Defrauding an Innkeeper, occurred on June 20, 2009, around midnight at a restaurant located in the 7700 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. Arrested was Joshua Robert Berry, 25, of West Ridge Street in Wytheville, Virginia on the charge. Berry is accused of walking out of the restaurant without paying his tab for the amount of $200.28. Berry was later found in his hotel room and was taken into custody. Berry was held on $2,500 bond and has a court date of August 14, 2009.

Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction of Justice, occurred on June 19, 2009, around 7:40 p.m. at a store located in the 14200 block of Potomac Mills Road in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a fight-in-progress call. Arrested was Derek Willie James Hill, 33, of Big Crest Lane in Woodbridge on the charges. Hill is accused of acting in a disorderly manner when the officers attempted to talk to him to investigate what had happen. Hill was held on $2,500 bond and has a court date of August 27, 2009.

Malicious Wounding, occurred on June 19, 2009, around 8:00 p.m. in the 4200 block of Granby Road in Woodbridge. The police responded to investigate a fight-in-progress complaint. When the officers arrived they found a 44-year-old man from Woodbridge on the ground bleeding from his head. The victim was assaulted with a brick by an acquaintance during an argument. The acquaintance was identified as Rudy Moran-Gonzalez, 24, of Granby Road, and was charged with malicious wounding. Moran-Gonzalez was released on a $5,000 bond and has a court date of July 13, 2009. The victim was treated for his injuries.

Incidents

Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on June 19, 2009, around 9:45 p.m. in the 8400 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. The victim, a 19-year-old woman from Manassas reported that she had been robbed and relieved of her purse. The victim reported that she and a co-worker closed the hair salon where they work and they each walked to their vehicles. As the victim entered her vehicle the suspect punched her several times and took her purse. The suspect ran from the scene taking the victim's purse and inside the purse the victim was carrying the night deposit. The victim was not injured during the robbery. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5'9" tall, thinly built, and was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and a black t-shirt wrapped around his head.

Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between June 19, 2009, around 6:00 p.m. and June 20, 2009, around 7:15 a.m. in the 9200 block of Lost Fields Court in Bristow. The victim reported that his hand gun and coins were stolen from his vehicle. The hand gun was black and silver in color. The victim had parked his vehicle his driveway and there were no signs of forced entry.
