Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 18
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 16, 200, around 11:32 p.m. in the 4100 block of Merchant Plaza in Lake Ridge. Officer J.T. McKinney was on patrol and noticed a suspicious vehicle. After an investigation, he arrested Megan M. Plavnieks, 18, of Trona Court in Manassas, on the charge. She was released on a summons and has a court date of August 7, 2009.
Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, occurred on June 17, 2009, around 5 p.m. in the 4500 block of Perch Branch Way in Dale City. Police responded to a drug activity call and arrested two 15-year-old Dale City boys on the marijuana possession charge. One of the boys was also charged with the drug paraphernalia possession charge. Both were released to a parent and will have hearings in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Incidents:
Grand Larceny, occurred on June 16, 2009, around 12:24 p.m. at a business in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a laptop computer was stolen from the business by a white male who asked to look at computers, then left the store with the laptop. An employee was able to grab the laptop from the man, who ran away. The man was between the ages of 30 and 35. He had a medium build; about 5’6’ and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a black and white Hawaiian shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 15, 2009, around 7:50 p.m. and June 16, 2009, around 8 a.m. in the 15000 block of Galapagos Place in Montclair. The victim reported that cash, an iPod and sunglasses were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $290.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 16, 2009, around 6:30 p.m. and June 17, 2009, around 8:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Seminole Road in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a digital camera and a GPS unit were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $700.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 14, 2009, around 6 p.m. and June 17, 2009, around 4:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Burgundy Place in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that 2 GPS unit were stolen from two vehicles, which were parked at the residence. Both vehicles were left unlocked. The total amount of property stolen is $1,000.
Statutory Burglary and Grand Larceny, occurred on June 16, 2009, between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the 12300 block of Chickasaw Court in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that jewelry was stolen from the residence. A window on the ground level was left unlocked and was the point of entry. The total amount of property stolen is $500.
Statutory Burglary and Destruction of Property, occurred between June 15, 2009, around 8 p.m. and June 17, 2009, around 6:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ashford Place in Woodbridge. The victim reported that someone entered the residence, which the victim was in the process of moving into, and turned on all the water faucets. A rear basement door was left unlocked and was the point of entry. The total amount of damage is around $20,000.
