Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 3
Arrests:
Sexual Assault, occurred on May 27, 2009, at a nursing home in the 8500 block of Rixlew Lane in the Manassas area. Staff called police to report that a 72-year-old female resident of the nursing home was sexually assaulted. Following an investigation, police arrested Homer C. Valdez, 35, of Cabot Court in Manassas, and charged him with sexual object penetration. He is being held on no bond. Information on a court date was not available.
Assault and Battery, occurred on May 30, 2009, at a convenience store in the 8300 block of Sudley Road in the Manassas area. Police responded to a fight call and arrested Lonnie L. Deal, 55, of no fixed address, on the charge. The victim, a 45-year-old Centreville, Va., man, reported that he was walking past the convenience store when Deal asked him for money. When the victim declined, he said Deal began to assault him with a walking cane. Deal was held on a $2,000 bond. Information on a court date was not available.
Carnal Knowledge, occurred on June 1, 2009, around 5:14 p.m. at a park in the 13400 block of Keytone Road in Dale City. Park rangers called police to report lewd behavior in the area of the parking lot. Police arrested Paul B. Russell, 18, of Wetherburn Drive in Centreville, Va., on the charge. He is being held on no bond. Information on a court date was not available. Russell is accused of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old Dale City girl.
Incidents:
Armed Robbery, occurred on June 1, 2009, between 11:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. in the 14300 block of Westway Lane in Dale City. The victims, a 23-year-old Arlington, Va., man and a 45-year-old Arlington, Va., man, reported that the 23-year-old was sitting inside a truck waiting for the 45-year-old when three black males approached the vehicle. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man opened the door and pulled the 23-year-old victim from the truck and hit him in the face with the handgun before stealing a cell phone from him. The 45-year-old victim reported that the men demanded money from him but ran from the truck without harming him. The 23-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released. The 45-year-old man was not injured in the incident. The suspect with the handgun is described as being between the ages of 17 and 20. He was wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask covering his face. The other man was described as being between the ages of 17 and 20. He was wearing a black hooded T-shirt with glitter on it, dark jeans, and a black ski mask. His hair was in braids. The third man was described as being between the ages of 17 and 20. He wore a black jacket, black pants and a black ski mask at the time of the incident.
Indecent Exposure, occurred on May 39, 2009, between 3:13 and 3:20 p.m. on Brookmead Drive near Meadowgate Drive in the Manassas area. The victim, a 16-year-old Manassas girl, reported that she was walking a dog on Brookmead when a man in a small silver SUV drove up to her. He asked for directions which she provided, and he drove away. The man drove up to her again and asked for directions at which time the victim noticed him exposing himself. She ran to her home and called police. The man is described as a black male of unknown age with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt at the time of the incident.
Threats to Bomb, occurred on May 31, 2009, around 8 p.m. at a restaurant in the 7600 block of Linton Hall Road in Gainesville. The victim reported that someone called the store and made a threat. No one was injured in the incident.
Grand Larceny, occurred on May 29, 2009, around 5 p.m. at a gas station in the 14500 block of Gideon Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that cash was stolen from the business by a man who entered the store, went into a back room and removed cash. He walked out of the store and went in an unknown direction. The man is described as a black male between the ages of 18 and 25 with a medium build. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a white T-shirt and black jeans at the time of the incident.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on June 1, 2009, between 1:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the 1400 unit block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a blue 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt two-door coupe was stolen from the residence by an acquaintance who took the keys without permission. The total amount of property stolen is $14,500.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between May 29, 2009, around 9 a.m. and May 31, 2009, around 1 p.m. in the 16800 block of Miranda Lane in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a blue, 2002 BMW 3.0 four-door sedan was stolen from the residence lot. The total amount of property stolen is $25,500.
Grand Larceny of Motorcycle, occurred between May 30, 2009, around 10 p.m. and May 31, 2009, around 8:40 a.m. in the 15200 block of Cloverdale Road in Dale City. The victim reported that a black 2008 Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle was stolen from in front of the residence where it was parked. The total amount of property stolen is $10,003.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on May 31, 2009, between 12:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the 12000 block of Stallion Court in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a number of collectible pens, an iPod, two digital cameras and other items were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. The vehicle was left unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $2,090.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on May 30, 2009, between 11 p.m. and 10 a.m. in the 12000 block of Stallion Court in Lake Ridge. The victim reported that a purse and its contents were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. The vehicle was left unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $6,830.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between May 30, 2009, around 6:30 p.m. and May 31, 2009, around noon in the 15300 block of Inlet Place in Montclair. The victim reported that a GPS unit and a digital camera were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence lot. The driver side door lock was damaged to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,689.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on May 30, 2009, around 10:30 p.m. at a movie theater in the 11300 block of Bulloch Drive in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a cell phone was stolen from the vehicle. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $250.
Attempted Grand Larceny of Motorcycle, occurred between May 30, 2009, around 10 p.m. and May 31, 2009, around 7 a.m. in the 7700 block of Gateshead Lane in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a gray and black 2003 Yamaha R6 motorcycle was stolen from in front of the residence where it was parked. The victim walked his property and found the motorcycle lying in the rear yard with damage to the ignition and wiring.
Statutory Burglary and Grand Larceny, occurred on May 28, 2009, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Longview Drive in Woodbridge. The victims reported that a video game system, accessories and games for the system, and numerous athletic shoes were stolen from the residence. The front door was pried to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $3,500.
