Board of County Supervisors list agenda for June 2
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. in the Board Chamber of the James J. McCoart Administration Building.
At the 2 p.m. meeting, the board will consider designating the Commonwealth Community Action Partnership as the Greater Prince William Community Action Agency and approve the Department of Transportation’s FY2010 Road Program. The board will hold several public hearings, including amending the County Code to change the general operating requirements for taxicabs and increasing rates for removal and storage of trespassing vehicles. The board will also consider conveyance of Silver Lake, and the designation of Potomac Town Center as a geographic area. Also during the meeting, the board will adopt community Development Block Grant Recovery Program Federal stimulus funding, award a construction contract for the Adult Detention Center Expansion Project and approve an application for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The board will hear presentations about the Library’s “Love My Library” Program and the North Woodbridge Master Plan.
During the 7:30 p.m. meeting, the board will hold public hearings for a special use permit for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, T-Mobile at Leuking, Camp Glenkirk (Saranac) Daycare and Walgreens at the Village. The special use permit hearing for Finley Asphalt and Sealing, Inc., has been deferred indefinitely by resolution, and will not occur at the Board meeting on June 2.
