Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 3


Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Possession of Schedule II Substance (percocet), Possession of Marijuana, occurred on December 2, 2009, around 12:47 a.m. in the area of Sudley Road and Interstate 66 in Manassas. A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Bruce Albert Gantt, 51, of Covantry Lane in Gainesville on the charges. Bond information was not available. Gantt has a court date of January 20, 2010.


Obscene Sexual Gestures, occurred on December 2, 2009, around 7:45 p.m. at a library located in the 13000 block of Chinn Park Drive in Woodbridge. The victim, a 25-year-old woman from Woodbridge reported that a man inappropriately touched himself on more than one occasion in her presence. The man was later identified as Jason Edward McGrann, 39, of Renton Court in Dumfries on the charge. McGrann was held on $1,000 bond. The court date was not available.


Incidents


Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on December 1, 2009, around 11:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge. The victims reported that they were approached by three unknown men who demanded they give up their money and cell phones. One suspect pushed one victim to the ground and searched his pants' pockets relieving him of an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone. A second suspect took the cell phone from the second victim then punched him on the side of the head. All three suspects ran from the scene. The suspects are described as three Black males, between 17-20-years-old, approximately 6'0" tall, thin built, and two of them were wearing black baseball hats. The victims were identified as two men 22 and 27 years old from Woodbridge.


Armed Robbery, occurred on December 1, 2009, around 10:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Hylton Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim, a 40-year-old man from Woodbridge reported that he was placing personal belongings into his van when he was robbed at gun point. The suspects approached the victim and asked him for directions. As the victim turned to answer them the suspects pointed a gun at him then one of the suspects searched his pockets taking an undisclosed amount of cash and the van's key. The first suspect is described as Black male, between 20-25-years-old, thin built, approximately 6'0" tall, black hair in cornrows, and was wearing a black hat, blue jacket, and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as Black male, approximately 5'7" tall, thin built, hair style in dreadlocks, and was wearing a dark colored jacket and jeans.


Statutory Burglary, occurred on December 2, 2009, between 6:50-9:30 p.m. in the 9400 block of Struthers Glen Court in Bristow. The victim reported her credit cards, personal documents, gift cards, and cash were stolen from her residence. There were no sings of forced entry to the house.


Statutory Burglary, occurred on December 1, 2009, around 7:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of Kellogg Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that he heard when one of the sliding glass door of the rear of his residence was opened. The victim went to investigate and observed two men attempting to force their entry into the house. The suspect ran from the scene when they were spotted by the homeowner. The suspects are described two White males, approximately 6'2" tall, thin built, and were wearing sweaters with the hood covering their head, and white sneakers. The suspects did not gain entry to the house.
