Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 2


Arrests


Destruction of Property (Felony), Petit Larceny, occurred on November 25, 2009, between 7;15 a.m. and 6;30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Benbow Court in Woodbridge. Arrested was Catherine Marie Alberts, 32, of Georgia Road in Woodbridge on the charges. Alberts is accused of damaging a computer and stealing a pair of boots, a pair of shoes, and a set flannel sheets from an acquaintance. Warrants were obtained and on 11-26-09, Alberts turned herself in to police. Alberts was released on own recognizance. The court date was not available.


Driving Under the Influence of Drugs (DUID), Possession of Marijuana, occurred on November 26, 2009, around 10:33 p.m. in the area of Minnieville Road and Silverdale Road in Woodbridge. A patrol officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Harold Maxwell Owens Jr, 48, of Rincon Place in Dumfries on the charges. Owens was held on $1,000 bond. The court date was not available.


Incidents


Armed Robbery, occurred on November 27, 2009, around 6:40 p.m. in the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The victim reported that the suspect entered the business, threatened her with a knife, and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount cash. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 19-25-years-old, approximately 5'6" tall, medium built, and was wearing a long black coat with a hood. The employee was not injured during the robbery.


Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on November 27, 2009, around 2;28 a.m. in the 2700 block of Potomack Mills Circle in Woodbridge. The victim, a 22-year-old woman from Heightsville Maryland reported that he an unknown man took the wallet from his hip area and ran from the scene. The suspect was in company of a second man. The victim was not injured during the robbery. The suspects are described as two Black males, between 18-25-years-old, approximately 5'8" tall, and were wearing black hoodies and blue jeans.


Attempted Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 29, 2009, between 10:00-11:45 a.m. in the 13500 block of Lynn Street in Woodbridge. The victim reported that an unknown man had attempted to gain entry into his townhouse. The suspect attempted to open the screen door but left the scene when he was unsuccessful. Entry to the townhouse was not gained. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 30-40-years-old, approximately 5'6" tall, heavy built, black hair, and was wearing a white shirt with blue stripes and blue pants.


Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 28, 2009, around 3:00 p.m. and November 29, around 12:30 p.m. in the 16000 block of Crest Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that when he returned home, he found a window from his residence broken. It appears that entry was gained however nothing was stolen from the house.


Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 24, 2009, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. in the 4700 block of Still Place in Dale City. The police responded to investigate a burglary in progress call. A small amount of cash was stolen from the residence. Entry was gained by forcing the front door open.


Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 25, 2009, between 3;00-8:48 p.m. in the 12200 block of Densmore Court in Woodbridge. Three victims reported that when they returned home they noticed that their house had been ransacked and their property stolen. Personal documents, jewelry, credit cards, and a safe were stolen from the victim's residence. The total amount of the stolen property is $24,780. Entry to the house was gained by forcing the front door open.


Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 27, 2009, around 7:00 p.m. and November 28, 2009, around 3:30 p.m. in the 13500 unit block of Cridercrest Place in Woodbridge. A safe containing cash and personal documents was stolen from the victim's apartment. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,450. Entry was gained by forcing the front door open.


Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 29, 2009, around 1:37 a.m. in the 14800 block of Golansky Boulevard in Dale City. The police responded to investigate a burglary to a business call. When the arrived, they found the front glass door broken. Two laser device scopes were stolen from the business. The total amount of the stolen property is $669.


Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 28, 2009, around 6:30 p.m. and November 29, 2009, around 12:26 a.m. in the 8100 block of Community Drive in Manassas. Two flat screen televisions and cash were stolen from the victim's townhouse. Entry to the residence was gained by forcing the rear door open. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,800.


Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 26, 2009, around 12;00 p.m. and November 28, 2009, around 11:00 a.m. in the 12000 block of Saranac Place in Manassas. It was reported to the police that the house had been rummaged through and firearms had been stolen. Three hand guns and two rifles were stolen from the victim's residence. The total amount of the stolen property is $2,500. There were no signs of forced entry into the house.
