Man charged for Facebook relationship with teen

Police have charged a Woodbridge man with a felony, alleging that he had a Facebook relationship with a 15-year-old girl and helped her run away from home.

On 8/21/09 at 9:30 PM police were dispatched to take a report regarding a runaway. The officer met with the 15 year old girl and learned that she had been in the company of a 27 year old man. During the investigation, police learned that the suspect and the victim met on Facebook and had communicated for several months. The investigation is ongoing. Thus far the suspect has been charged with one count of Use of a communication device to facilitate certain offenses involving children; which is a class 6 Felony. He is being held on a $15,000 bond, no court date has been set.
