PW Fair continues through Saturday

The Prince William County Fair continues through Saturday night, offering a demolition derby, bellydancing show, pro wrestling and a motocross jump-off this weekend.

Throughout the fair's nine-day run this year, 60-year-olds have gotten in free, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the event.

That policy will continue through the weekend.

“It's been very well received, general manager Keith Johnson said of the 60-year-old special. He estimated that as of Monday, about 100 people had received free admission.

Overall, more than 28,000 people attended during the first three days of the fair.

“It's been a very good weekend,” he said.

Entertainment

This year's new entertainers are illusionist Josh Knotts and Mark Preston's Comedy Safari Show.

Knotts will perform Thursday and Friday at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. and on Saturday at 4, 5:30, 7:15 and 8:45 p.m.

The safari show begins at 4, 6:45 and 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 1:30, 4:45 and 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The Agricadabra Magic Show, which is returning this year, will take place on Thursday and Friday at 4:45, 6 and 8:45 p.m. and on Saturday at 12:30, 2:15., 6 and 8 p.m.

The fair runs until Saturday, Aug. 22 at the Prince William County Fairgrounds, 10624 Dumfries Road in Manassas.

Tickets

Tickets at the gate are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $5 for children. Active duty military personnel and all 60-year-olds will be admitted free.

A family five-pack, which includes rides but not grandstand shows, costs $50.

Grandstand shows

There is an additional $2 charge for the grandstand shows. Each evening features a different grandstand show, including a demolition derby, pro wrestling and MotoCross jump-off.
