Brentsville District wins district cheer title

The Brentsville District cheerleading team added another trophy to its case Tuesday night in Winchester by capturing the Northwestern District post-season title.

With a score of 262.5, the Tigers clinched their second district championship of the season. Brentsville earned the regular season title just days earlier.

The top four teams at districts qualified for the Region II match, set to be held Nov. 1. The schools and their scores are as follows:

1. Brentsville District - 262.5
2. Sherando - 255
3. Skyline - 220
4. James Wood - 205

Neighboring Kettle Run, which is located on the Fauquier side of Nokesville, finished seventh out of nine teams.
