Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 21

Arrests

Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, occurred on November 16, 2008, around 8:28 p.m. in the area of Waverly Farm Drive and Bent Grass Drive in Haymarket. A patrol officer observed a suspicious vehicle and stopped to investigate. Arrested was Joshua Edward Aleshire, 18, of Webster Tavern Way, Manassas, on the charge. Aleshire is accused of having drugs in the vehicle. He was held on $10,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of January 6, 2008.

Brandishing a Firearm 2x, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, occurred on November 15, 2008, around 4:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Crescent Park Drive in Gainesville. Arrested was Zamir Babee, 19, of Northington Court, Gainesville, on the charges. Babee is accused of being in possession of a hand gun and brandishing it while he attended a party. Babee was held without bond. His court date was not available.

Attempted Malicious Wounding, Felony Hit and Run, Reckless Driving, Driving Without Operators License, Fail to Display Lighted headlights, Operating a Vehicle Without Proper Registration, Operating an Uninsured motor Vehicle, occurred on November 9, 2008, around 11:54 p.m. in the 1600 block of Rosedale Court in Woodbridge. On 11-09-08, a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that Milton Gabriel Mejia was operating. Mejia is accused of striking the officer's vehicle with his vehicle during the traffic stop and fleeing from the scene. On 11-10-08, Mejia was located in Culpeper and he was taken into custody by the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office. Mejia was held without bond. The Prince William County Police Officer was not injured during the incident.

Incidents

Malicious Wounding, occurred on November 15, 2008, around 8:20 p.m. in the 8300 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. The victim, a 35-year-old man from Manassas was assaulted when he attempted to break up a fight. The victim was attacked with a gardening rake causing severe injuries on his head. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injuries. One of the suspects involved in the fight is described as a Hispanic male, between 20-40-years-old, approximately 5'10" tall, 180 pounds, brown hair, and was wearing a white t-shirt.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm, occurred on November 17, 2008, around 7:20 p.m. in the 7500 block of Purdue Court in Manassas. The police responded to investigate a firearms violation. Four vehicles that were parked on the road were struck by the bullets that were fired. No one was injured during the shooting.

Throwing Missiles at an Occupied Vehicle, occurred on November 19, 2008, around 5:50 a.m. in the area of Amherst Drive and Alleghany Road in Manassas. Eggs were thrown at a school bus while it was dropping off students in the area. There were students in the bus but they were not injured during the incident.

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred between November 19,2008, around 9:30 p.m. and November 20,2008, around 7:49 a.m. in the 12900 block of Sturbridge Road in Woodbridge. A 2002, Chrysler, Concord, 4-door, green in color, valued at $5,000 was stolen. The vehicle was stolen from the victim's driveway.

Grand Larceny, occurred between November 19, 2008, around 5;30 p.m. and November 20, 2008, around 7:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of Carson Drive in Woodbridge. Two drills, a saw, and other miscellaneous tools were stolen from the victim's storage shed. The total amount of the stolen property is $570. The shed is in the back yard and entry was gained by breaking the locks.

Grand Larceny, occurred on November 18, 2008, around 11:40 a.m. in the 19000 unit block of Fuller Heights Road in Woodbridge. The victim reported that her teacup size Yorkie was stolen while she visited a friend. The dog was stolen from the living room.

Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between November 17, 2008, around 11:00 p.m. and November 18, 2008, around 4:31 p.m. in the 10800 block of Vandor Lane in Manassas. A bow and rifle valued at $1,400 were stolen from the victim's vehicle. Entry to the 2000, Nissan, Quest, was gained by breaking a window.

Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between November 18, 2008, around 11:00 p.m. and November 19, 2008, around 2:05 a.m. in the 7700 block of Sudley Road in Manassas. A set of gulf clubs valued at $880 was stolen from the victim's vehicle. The victim entered a restaurant and when he returned his property had been stolen.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 21, 2008, around 1:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of Harrison Street in Woodbridge. The victim reported that he woke up when the unknown suspect entered his residence through the front door. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect ran out the house. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6'0" tall, 185 pounds, and was wearing a dark knit skull cap, dark pants, a dark colored jacket. There were no signs of forced entry. No one was injured during the burglary and nothing was stolen.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 21, 2008, between midnight and 1:00 a.m. in the 15000 unit block of Sunny Ridge Court in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a flat screen television, jewelry, and cash were stolen from her apartment. The total amount of the stolen property is $1,520. There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 19, 2008, around 1:24 a.m. in the 10700 block of Meadow Grove Court in Manassas. Police officers responded to investigate a burglary-in-progress call. The victim reported that an unknown man kicked the front door of his residence and entered the house. The suspect left the scene prior to the arrival of the police. The suspect is described as an adult male, approximately 5'4" tall, and was wearing a red sweatshirt, a dark colored hood over his head, and baggy pants.
