Fire victim's husband charged with murder

On 11-17-08, the Prince William County and The Prince William Count Fire and Rescue Department began the investigation of a fire that resulted in the death of Graciela Letizia Marandino, 31.

On 11-18-08, Mario Jennings was arrested and charged with Felony Homicide and Arson. The investigation revealed that Jennings and his wife were involved in a physical altercation and she became unconscious. Jennings is accused of starting a fire in two separate locations of their townhouse, resulting in the death of Marandino. Jennings has been held without bond and he will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

**Felony Homicide (18.2-33), upon conviction the person can be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years and up to 40 years in prison.

**Arson (18.2-77) is a class II Felony and upon conviction the person can be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years to life in prison and can be fined up to $100,000.
