Arrests and incidents reported by police on Nov. 14


Arrests

Felony Child Neglect, Driving With a Suspended Operators License, occurred on November 10, 2008, around 11:31 a.m. in the 13600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. Arrested was Kedrick Evans, 43, of East Luray Avenue, Alexandria, on the charges. Evans is accused of leaving his one-year-old daughter and two-year-old son in his vehicle without supervision. The arrest took place when the police officers were investigating an unrelated matter. The children were not injured during this incident. Evans was released on $5,000 unsecured bond. He will be having a hearing in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

On 11-14-08, at approximately 12:45 a.m. , Detectives from The Prince William County Police Narcotics Unit were investigating a drug activity complaint at a hotel located in the 7200 block of New Market Road in Manassas. The investigation lead to the arrest of Richard C. Frye, 38, of no fixed address. Frye was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute MDMA (ecstasy pills), Possession of Firearm By a Convicted Felon, Possession f a Firearm With Schedule I/II Substance, and Resisting Arrest. Frye was held without bond and he has a scheduled court date of December 12, 2008.


Incidents

Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on November 10, 2008, around 8:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Meandering way in Woodbridge. The victim, a 35-year-old man from Woodbridge was delivering food when he was attacked by two unknown subjects. The victim reported that he was approached by the suspects, they asked him why the delivery was late, and began to assault him. The victim was struck on the head, pushed to the ground, and the suspects then took the food and ran from the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries. The first suspect is described as a Black male between 21-25-years-old, approximately 5'5" tall, and thinly built. The first suspect was wearing a brown sweater and the hood was pulled up around his face to conceal his identity. The second suspect was a White male, between 21-25-years-old, approximately 5'9" tall, thinly built, an was wearing a red jacket with a hood.

Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 9, 2008, around 9:00 a.m. and November 12, 2008, in the 3700 block of Wigan Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a large amount of cash was stolen from his residence. Entry was gained by forcing a x_window.open.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 12, 2008, between 7:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. in the 14400 block of Meridian Drive in Woodbridge. Jewelry, a lap top computer, a video game system, a rifle, and a shot gun, valued at $4,000 were stolen from the victim's residence. Entry to the house was gained by breaking a rear glass window.

Statutory Burglary, occurred between November 12, 2008, around 11:00 a.m. and November 13, 2008, around 12:45 a.m. in the 12400 block of Everest Peak Lane in Lake Ridge. Two lap top computers, a DVD player, two jackets, mens' clothes, three womens' purses, and beer were stolen from the victim's residence. The total amount of the stolen property is $7,120. There were no signs of forced entry.

Statutory Burglary, occurred on November 10, 2008, between 9:45 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. in the 2200 block of Montgomery Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim reported that when he returned to his residence he noticed that it had been rummaged through and some items had been stolen. An iPod, a digital camera, a cell phone, three video game systems, video games, jewelry, and two pair of sneakers valued at $1,987 were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.

Grand Larceny From Auto, occurred between November 10, 2008, around 8:00 p.m. and November 11, 2008, around 9:00 a.m. in the 14200 block of Westway Lane in Woodbridge. An airbag and a black back pack were stolen from a 2003, Honda, Accord. The total amount of the stolen property is $620. The victim had parked his vehicle in front of his residence. Entry was gained by breaking a window.

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on November 11, 2008, around 10:50 a.m. in the 2900 block of Pheasant Lane in Woodbridge. A 1998, Buick, Park Avenue, 4-door, blue in color, valued at $7,000 was stolen. The victim left her vehicle running to warm it up and when she returned it had been stolen.

Grand Larceny (moped), occurred between November 9, 2008, around 6:00 p.m. and November 10, 2008, around 10:30 a.m. in the 12300 unit block of Midsummer Lane in Lake Ridge. A 2009, Eton, Matrix-50CC, Moped, blue in color, valued at $2,000 was stolen. The victim had parked his moped in his apartment building parking lot when it was stolen.

Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on November 10, 2008, around 8:17 a.m. in the 16700 block of Flotilla Way in Woodbridge. A 2000, Hyundai, Accent, 4-door, green in color, valued at $2,500 was stolen. The victim left her vehicle running with the key in the ignition and when she returned it had been stolen.
