Crashes, arrests and incidents reported by police on May 27.
Crashes
On 05-24-08, at approximately 5:33 p.m. the police responded to
investigate a single vehicle crash that occurred on Delaney Road near
Edelweiss Road in Dale City. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on
Delaney Road when the driver lost control and over corrected causing the
vehicle to go off the road. The vehicle struck an embankment then
overturned. The driver was identified as Adam Joseph Woodling, 27, of
South Park Court, Woodbridge. Woodling was charged with Driving
Under the Influence (DUI). Bond and court date information were not
available. Woodling sustained minor injuries. The 30-year-old passenger
from Woodbridge was flown to an area hospital with severe injuries. The
injuries are not life-threatening and he is expected to recover.
On 05-26-08, at approximately 2:39 a.m., the police responded to
investigate a motorcycle crash that occurred on Linton Hall Road near
Worthington Drive in Bristow. The motorcycle was traveling southbound
on Linton Hall when the operator drove off the road and was ejected.
The operator was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening
injuries. He has been identified as a 33-year-old man from Richmond.
Arrests
Malicious Wounding, Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony,
the police arrested Carlos Ernesto Morales-Zuniga, 28-years-old, of no
fixed address, on the named charges. Morales-Zuniga is accused of
shooting a 39-year-old man from Manassas on 05-13-08, at approximately
11:56 a.m., at 10320 Festival Lane in Manassas. Morales-Zuniga is being
held without bond and has court date of June 25, 2008. On 05-25-08, at
approximately 7:30 a.m., the police responded to the 7400 block of
Stream Walk Lane to investigate the location of the possible suspect
involved in the shooting. Further investigation lead to
Morales-Zuniga's arrest.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 23, 2008, around 10:40 p.m. in
the 1900 Stevens Road in Woodbridge. The police responded to
investigate a suspicious vehicle complaint and arrested Karles Cheneir
Jackson Jr., 22, of Edgemere Court, Stafford, on the charge.
Jackson was held on $2,000 bond and his court date is July 14, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 23, 2008, around 10:54 p.m. in
the 14600 unit block of Colchester Road in Woodbridge. Arrested was
Tyrone Edward Robinson, 33, of Colchester Road, on the
charge. The arrest occurred when the police were investigating an
unrelated matter. Robinson was released on a summons and has a court
date of June 27, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 25, 2008, in the 13700 block of
Mapledale Avenue in Dale City. The police responded to investigate a
drug activity complaint and arrested Timothy Lee McCormick, 46, of
Mapladale Avenue, on the charge. He was released on a summons and has a
court date of June 30, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on May 25, 2008, around 11:58 p.m. in
the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Cardinal Drive in Woodbridge.
Arrested was Kenneth Sturm, 21, of Joes Road, Fredericksburg, on
the charge. The arrest occurred while the police were investigating an
unrelated incident. Sturm was released on a summons and his court date
was not available.
