"Raise your hands if you love math," said Carol Knight, Supervisor of Mathematics for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), and the crowd of students and parents raised their hands as they began the eighth annual. The event was held at Godwin Middle School on Saturday, May 3. Approximately 100 students from grades three through eight participated in the PWCS Mathematics Challenge 24 Tournament on May 3.

Fourth-grade winners are Nina Lopez, from Bristow Run Elementary, in second place; Rachael Simmons, also from Bristow Run, with third place; and Joshua Meldrum, from Nokesville Elementary, with fourth place.

Fifth-grade student winners are Ellen Brown, from Nokesville Elementary, who placed first; Alec Damico, from Nokesville Elementary, who won third place; and Matthew Brooks, from Nokesville Elementary, who took fourth.
