SJHS softball pitcher hurls no hitter

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26 2008

Melissa Kirby stepped up in a big way Tuesday night as the senior pitcher tossed a complete-game no-hitter in a 4-0 win against Potomac.
After missing most of the 2007 season to injury, Kirby wiffed eight Panther batters and walked only two of them.
Brittney Orsborn and Krystal Smith did the damage offensively for the Raiders as Orsborn drove in two runs and Smith scored twice.
Stonewall hosts Woodbridge tonight in Manassas at 6 p.m.
