Arrests
Arrested: Carlos Alberto Meyer, 33-years-old, of Collingwood Court, Woodbridge
Victim: a 36-year-old woman from Woodbridge
Attempt Capital Murder For Hire, Solicitation of Capital Murder For Hire, on 06-23-08, the police began the investigation of a solicitation for murder complaint. The investigation revealed that Meyer was looking to pay someone to have his wife killed. On 06-24-08, the police set up an undercover operation and had a detective meet Meyer at an undisclosed location. When Meyer met with the detective he made arrangements regarding how much money he was going to pay and gave instructions as to how he wanted his wife murdered. Meyer was arrested and taken into custody immediately after the deal was made and has been charged with the above offenses. Meyer is being held without bond and will be having a hearing on August 20, 2008.
Malicious Wounding, occurred on June 23, 2008, around 10:00 p.m. in the 13400 block of Princedale Drive in Dale City. Arrested was William Joseph Romanini Jr., 28, of 1Princedale Drive, Dale City, on the charge. Romanini is accused of pushing an acquaintance during an argument and caused a laceration on her head. Romanini was held without bond and will be having a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The victim is a 33-year-old woman from Dale City. She was treated at local hospital then was released.
Indecent Exposure, occurred on June 24, 2008, around 8:40 p.m. in the 3600 unit block of Elm Farm Road in Woodbridge. Arrested was Javier Xinol Castillo, 40, of Elm Farm Road, Lot 12, on the charge. Castillo is accused of exposing himself to a 60-year-old woman from Woodbridge. Bond information was not available. Castillo has a court date of August 5, 2008.
Incidents
Malicious Wounding, occurred on June 24, 2008, around 11:17 p.m. the police responded to the area of Kirby Drive and Wayside Drive in Dumfries to investigate a firearms violation. When the officers were patrolling the area, additional calls were received by citizens notifying the police that a shooting had occurred. The victims were located in the parking lot of the Exxon gas station located at 17164 Jefferson Davis Highway. The investigation revealed that three males were sitting in a vehicle and their vehicle had been shot at by an unknown suspect. Two victims, a 20-year-old man from Triangle and a 19-year-old from Dumfries were injured during the shooting. They were flown to a local hospital. One of the victims is in critical condition. The investigation continues. The suspect left in a light colored sedan.
Carjacking, occurred on June 24, 2008, around 11:49 p.m. in the 15000 block of Cardinal Drive in Dumfries. The victim, a 26-year-old man from Woodbridge, reported that he was approached by three unknown suspects. One of the suspects asked for directions, a second suspect threatened him with a gun and ordered him to get out of his vehicle. The victim accelerated his vehicle and left the scene. The suspects are described as three Black males, between 22-26-years-old. The first suspect is described to be approximately 5'9" tall, medium built, and was wearing a dark colored bandana, a white tank top, blue jeans and was armed with a gun. The second suspect was approximately 6'0" tall, medium built, and was also wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. The third suspect was approximately 5'9" tall, medium built, and was wearing dark colored clothes. The victim was not injured during the incident.
