Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 20
Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on June 18, 2008, around 9 p.m. on Lynwood Drive at Lambsgate Lane in Dale City. The victim, an 18-year-old Dale City man, told police he was riding his bicycle in the area when two men approached him. One of the men asked to ride the bicycle, then assaulted the victim, causing him to fall from the bicycle. The other man rifled his pockets. The two ran off with the victim’s cell phone and his bicycle. Police investigated and quickly identified two suspects. Arrested was Michael D. Finn, 18, of Lambsgate Lane in Dale City and a 17-year-old Dale City boy on the charges. The juvenile suspect was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Finn was held on no bond Information on a court date was not available. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on June 16, 2008, around 5:45 p.m. at a fast-food restaurant in the 1400 block of Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge. The victim, a 19-year-old Woodbridge man, told police he was smoking a cigarette on the side of the restaurant when a man approached him, assaulted him and stole a hand-held game system, a CD player and a watch, then ran off. Police investigated and quickly identified a suspect. Arrested was a 15-year-old Woodbridge boy on the charges. The juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. The victim did not require medical attention.
Possession of Schedule I or II Substance, occurred on June 20, 2008, around 12:10 a.m. on Filarete Street at Ferrara Terrace in Dale City. Police on patrol encountered a suspicious vehicle and located drugs. Arrested was Ralph D. Collins, 42, of Haddon Lane in Woodbridge, on the charge. He was given a $2,500 secured bond and has a court date of July 22, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 18, 2008, around 11:47 p.m. on Minnieville Road at Dale Boulevard in Dale City. Police conducted a traffic stop and located drugs. Arrested was Eduardo A. Lizama Ruiz, 18, of Carapece Court in the Manassas area, and Jimmy A. Perdomo, 22, of Valleyhill St. in Lake Ridge, on the charge. Each man was released on a summons and both have court dates of July 22, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 17, 2008, around 10:20 p.m. at a construction site on Tygart Lake Drive in Bristow. Police on patrol encountered a suspicious vehicle and located drugs. Arrested was Patrick M. Brando Dias, 18, of Grimsby Lane in Bristow, on the charge. He was released on a summons and has a court date of July 30, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 17, 2008, around 10:50 p.m. in the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. Police on patrol encountered a suspicious person and located drugs. Arrested was Jose Flores-Cabrera, 28, of Brice House Court in Lake Ridge, on the charge. He was given a $2,500 secured bond. Information on a court date was not available.
Possession of Marijuana, Violation of Curfew, & Driving in Restriction of Operator’s License occurred on June 17, 2008, around 3 a.m. on Tecumseh Court at Mohican Road in Lake Ridge. Police responded to a fight call, encountered a suspicious vehicle and made a traffic stop, and located drugs. Arrested was a 17-year-old Lake Ridge girl, on the charges. She was released to her mother’s custody and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Possession of Cocaine, occurred on June 16, 2008, around 5:15 p.m. on Prince William Parkway at the Commuter Lot in Woodbridge. Police responded to a crash call and located drugs. Arrested was Ramon Valenzuela-Lizarrago, 47, of Fitchburg Court in Woodbridge, on the charge. He was held on a $5,000 bond and has a court date of July 6, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 14, 2008, around noon in the 13200 block of Gateway Center Drive in Gainesville. Police on patrol encountered a suspicious vehicle and located drugs. Arrested was Matthew B. Caskey, 22, of Welton Drive in Centreville, Va., on the charge. He was released on a summons and has a court date of July 25, 2008.
Incidents:
Assault and Battery, occurred on June 18, 2008, around 9:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of Culpeper Drive in Woodbridge. Police responded to a fight call and the victim – a 24-year-old Lorton, Va., man – reported that he was at a friend’s house watching a soccer game when someone rang the doorbell. The victim answered the door and a man announced that someone had hit his family member. The man then assaulted the victim and ran away with a group of males. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene. The suspect is described as a black male. No other information was available.
Assault and Battery, occurred on June 15, 2008, around 10:23 p.m. at a restaurant in the 14300 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. The victim, a 33-year-old Woodbridge man, reported that he was smoking a cigarette in front of the restaurant when a man came around the corner and began assaulting him. The suspect fled when he noticed other people in the area. He is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30. He was about 6’ and weighed approximately 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants at the time of the incident.
