Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 18
Arrests:
Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 11, 2008, around 10:50 p.m. in the 7600 block of Visionary Court in the Manassas area. Police responded to an intoxicated person call and located drugs. Arrested was Jay M. Florence, 18, of Visionary Court, Manassas, on the charge. He was released on a summons and has a court date of July 25, 2008.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance & Possession of Marijuana, occurred on June 10, 2008, around 5:15 p.m. on Portsmouth Road at Deward Court in the Manassas area. Police conducted a traffic stop and located drugs. Police arrested Roland F. Gahn Jr., 49, of Butternut Circle, Manassas, and Bruce E. Dasynski, 34, of Wilmington St., Manassas, on the charges. Each man was held on a $5,000 bond and both have court dates of July 15, 2008.
Possession of Marijuana & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, occurred on June 6, 2008, around 12:30 p.m. on Route 15 at Old Carolina Road in Haymarket. Police conducted a traffic stop and located drugs. Arrested was Jaclyn M. McManus, 38, of Bradford Lane, Manassas, on the charges. She was given a $2,000 secured bond. Information on a court date was not available.
Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, occurred on May 31, 2008, around 9:28 p.m. on Lockerbie Way at Duneiden Lane in the Manassas area. Police on patrol encountered suspicious persons and located drugs. Arrested was a 17-year-old Manassas boy on the charge. He was released to his mother and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Grand Larceny, occurred on June 9, 2008, around 4 p.m. at a store in the 4300 block of Fortuna Center Plaza in Montclair. Police responded to a shoplifting call and arrested a 14-year-old Montclair boy on the charge. He is accused of taking nearly 10 iPods or other MP3 players – valued at $1,190 – and concealing them in his clothing. He was released to his parents and will have a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
Incidents:
Grand Larceny, occurred on June 3, 2008, around 11 a.m. at an athletic club in the 14600 block of Piedmont Vista Drive in Gainesville. The victim reported that cash and an iPod were among items stolen from the locker room. The items were unsecured while the victim was nearby. The total amount of property stolen is $250.
Grand Larceny, occurred between June 14, 2008, around 11 p.m. and June 15, 2008, around 7 a.m. in the 18700 unit block of Fuller Heights Road in Triangle. The victim reported that a length of chain was stolen from the residence. There was no sign of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $250.
Grand Larceny, occurred on June 11, 2008, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the 10800 block of Peachwood Drive in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a bicycle was stolen from the residence. It was unsecured in the driveway. The total amount of property stolen is $280.
Grand Larceny, occurred on June 11, 2008, between 3:40 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of Shadybrook Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that a dirt bike and a bicycle were stolen from the residence. They were unsecured in the yard. The total amount of property stolen is $228.
Grand Larceny of Auto, occurred on June 11, 2008, between 1:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Automotive Drive at Balls Ford Road in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a white 1993 Honda Accord station wagon was stolen from the location. Entry was apparently gained through a driver’s side door that is unable to be locked. The total amount of property stolen is $3,000.
Grand Larceny of Motorcycle, occurred on June 3, 2008, around 5:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Mountain Road in Haymarket. The victim reported that a green & white 2004 Kawasaki KFX 85cc motorcycle was stolen from the residence. The total amount of property stolen is $1,500.
Grand Larceny of Motorcycle, occurred between June 2, 2008, around 9:30 p.m. and June 3, 2008, around 7 a.m. in the 10800 unit block of Gambril Drive in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a yellow & black 2000 Honda CBRF4 motorcycle was stolen from the residence lot where it was parked. The total amount of property stolen is $4,200.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 1, 2008, around 10 p.m. and June 2, 2008, around 4 a.m. in the 7800 block of Woodstock Street in the Manassas area. The victim reported that copper wire was stolen from the work vehicle while it was parked in the location. The item was unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $2,000.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on June 9, 2008, between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. at a store in the 10800 block of Sudley Manor Square in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a laptop computer, large-denomination money orders, and a purse and its contents were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the store lot. The vehicle was left unlocked and with all the windows down. The total amount of property stolen is $5,950.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 11, 2008, around 10 p.m. and June 13, 2008, around 7 a.m. in the 8700 block of Vanore Place in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a laptop computer, a GPS unit and a suitcase were stolen from the vehicle, which was parked in the residence driveway. There were no signs of forced entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,200.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred on June 12, 2008, between 7:35 and 7:40 a.m. at a business in the 14500 block of Telegraph Road in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a purse and its contents, including a cell phone, were stolen from the vehicle, while it was parked in the business lot. The driver’s door window was left down. The total amount of property stolen is $161.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 11, 2008, around midnight and June 12, 2008, around 6 a.m. in the 15200 block of Lodge Terrace in Woodbridge. The victim reported that a GPS unit was stolen from the vehicle, which was parked at the residence. It is unknown how entry was gained. The total amount of property stolen is $250.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 8, 2008, around 6 p.m. and June 9, 2008, around 6 a.m. in the 4700 block of Koester Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that power tools were stolen from the work vehicle, which was parked at the location. The passenger-door lock was forced to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $1,260.
Grand Larceny from Auto, occurred between June 7, 2008, around 8 a.m. and June 8, 2008, around 10 a.m. in the 4700 block of Kilbane Road in Dale City. The victim reported that power tools were stolen from a personal vehicle and a work vehicle, both of which were parked at the location. Door locks were forced on both vehicles to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $7,084.
Statutory Burglary & Grand Larceny, occurred between May 26, 2008, and June 2, 2008, in the 11200 block of Coles Drive in Lake Jackson. The victim reported that a water heater and its copper piping, an indoor furnace & base board units, and an outdoor AC unit and an exterior door had been stolen from the residence under construction. A basement door was forced to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $7,500.
Statutory Burglary & Petit Larceny, occurred between June 9, 2008, around 10 p.m. and June 10, 2008, around 8 a.m. in the 7200 block of Hall Tavern Court in the Manassas area. The victim reported that a bicycle was stolen from the residence garage. It is unknown how entry was gained as the garage was left unsecured. The total amount of property stolen is $75.
Statutory Burglary & Petit Larceny, occurred between June 11, 2008, around 8:30 p.m. and June 12, 2008, around 7:30 a.m. at a store in the 14400 block of Gideon Drive in Woodbridge. The victim reported that several packages of cigarettes were stolen from the business. The glass front door of the business was broken to gain entry. The total amount of property stolen is $18.
Statutory Burglary, occurred on June 11, 2008, between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the 3300 block of Labourn Drive in Dale City. The victim reported that someone entered the residence but a family dog chased the intruder out. A faulty sliding glass door was used to gain entry.
