Auditions set for ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’

Fauquier Community Theatre will hold auditions for its production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” on Friday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. Call-backs, if necessary, will be held Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m.

Auditions will be held at 4260 Sigler Drive, Vint Hill Farms Station in Warrenton.  The show is being directed by Lisa Anne Bailey.

Cast requirements include 10-12 men, two female leads, and 6-8 female courtesans. Cast age range is 18 to 99. Those interested in auditioning will be asked to prepare a short song and be prepared to dance. A CD player and piano with accompanist will be provided. Planned rehearsal days will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Participants should bring a recent photo.

Performance dates for the show are Oct. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19.
