Arrests and incidents reported by police on June 30

Arrests

Unlawful Bodily Injury, occurred on June 27, 2008, around 4:20 p.m. in
the 14700 block of Barksdale Street in Woodbridge.  Arrested was William
Edward Parker, 23, of Barksdale Street, on the charge.  Parker is
accused of pushing an acquaintance during an argument.  The victim
sustained facial injuries as a result of the fall.  The victim was
transported to a local hospital and was treated for her injuries.
Parker was released on his personal recognizance and he will be having a
court date of July 28, 2008.

Possession of a Concealed Weapon (firearm), occurred on June 29, 2008,
around 5:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of Graham Park Road in Dumfries.  A
patrol officer observed a group of suspicious persons and stopped to
investigate.  Arrested was Harrell Lee Bellous III, 20, of Tebbs
Lane, Dumfries, on the charge.  Bellous was released on a summons and
his court date was not available.

Possession of Schedule I Substance (heroin), occurred on June 26, 2008,
around 10:37 p.m. in the area of Old Triangle Road and Fuller Heights
Road in Triangle.  The police responded to investigate a
fight-in-progress.  Arrested was Nancy Lynn Batista, 24, of Pilot
Knob Loop, Stafford, on the charge.  Bond and court date information
were not available.

Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, occurred on June
28,2008, around 12;30 a.m. in the area of Dale Boulevard and Forestdale
Plaza in Dale City.  A patrol officer observed a suspicious person and
stopped to investigate.  Arrested was Jason Duane Middleton, 26, of
Watson Lane, Woodbridge, on the charge.  Middleton was held on
$3,000 bond and the court date was not available.

Manufacture of Marijuana, occurred on June 27, 2008, around 10:52 a.m.
in the 2300 block of Mount Laurel Loop in Dumfries.  Arrested was
Phillip Thomas Shepherd, 19, of Mount Laurel Loop, on the charge.
A patrol officer was investigating an unrelated incident when he
observed the marijuana plants in the residence.  Shepherd was held on
$5,000 bond and his court date was not available.

Possession of Schedule II Substance (cocaine), occurred on June 29,
2008, around 6;08 p.m. in the area of Burleigh Lane and Brook Drive in
Dale City.  A patrol officer observed a suspicious vehicle and stopped
to investigate.  Arrested was Betty Sue Melvin, 42, of Alaska
Road, Woodbridge, on the charge.  Melvin was held on $2,500 bond and her
court date is August 28, 2008.

Incidents

Armed Robbery, occurred on June 28, 2008, around 12;15 a.m. at a
convenience store located in the 14700 block of Darbydale Avenue in Dale
City.  The clerk, a 37-year-old man from Woodbridge, reported that two
armed suspects entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of cash
from the registers.  The victim reported that one of the suspects jumped
over the counter and demanded money.  Both suspects threatened the
victim with a hand gun.  The suspects are described as two Black males,
between 18-26-years-old, approximately 5'8" tall, and thinly built.  The
first suspect was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket,  and had his face
covered with a white mask.  The second suspect was also wearing blue
jeans, a black jacket, and a blue mask.  The victim was not injured
during robbery.  

Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on June 26, 2008, around 7:15 a.m. in the
3100 block of Antrim Circle in Woodbridge.  The victim, a 34-year-old
man from Fredericksburg, reported that he was relieved of his money.
The victim reported that he was going to give the suspect a ride.  The
victim was going to charge the suspect for the ride.  The suspect asked
the victim for change and when the victim had his money in his hands,
the suspect snatched the money from the victim, and ran off.  The
suspect is described as a Black male, between 25-30-years-old,
approximately 6'3" tall, thinly built, black hair, and brown eyes.  The
victim was not injured during the robbery.  

Strong-Arm Robbery, occurred on June 27, 2008, around 6:00 p.m. in the
1500 block of Hylton Avenue in Woodbridge.   The victim, a 32-year-old
woman form Woodbridge reported that she was relieved of her purse.  The
victim reported that she was walking home when the suspect approached
her, grabbed her by the arm, and demanded her purse.  The suspect fled
the scene prior to the arrival of the police. The suspect is described
as a Hispanic male, between 18, 22-years-old, 5'5" tall and thinly
built.  The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and had
short black hair.  The victim was not injured during the robbery.  

Armed Robbery, occurred on June 27, 2008, around 5:53 p.m. in the 13600
block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.  The victim, a
41-year-old man from Woodbridge reported that he had been assaulted and
relieved of his wallet.  The victim reported that he was walking to his
vehicle when he was approached by two unknown suspects.  The suspects
punched the victim on his head and back and took his wallet during the
attack.  One of the suspects struck the victim with a bat.  The first
suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 21-25-years-old,
approximately 5'8" tall, heavily built, long curly black hair, and was
wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.  The second suspect is a Black
male, between 21-25-years-old, approximately 5'10" tall, thinly built,
black hair, and was wearing dark colored clothes.  The victim's medical
information was not available.  

Armed Robbery, occurred on June 28, 2008, around 2:00 a.m. at a
convenience store, located in the 12500 block of Gordon Boulevard in
Woodbridge.  Two store clerks reported that two unknown female suspects
had robbed the store at gun point.  One of the suspects took an unknown
amount of money from a cash register.  The first suspect is described as
a Black female, approximately 5'7" tall, heavy built, black hair, and
was wearing a mask.  The second suspect was approximately 5'11" tall,
thinly built, black hair and was wearing a mask.  Both suspects were
wearing black clothes.  The store clerks were not injured during the
robber.
