Police seek robbery-murder suspects

Prince William Police are offering a reward for information about an armed robbery and murder that occurred in Woodbridge on Tuesday.

On Jan. 22 at about 11:05 p.m., suspects entered the unsecured rear door of the Popeye's Restaurant in Smoketown Plaza at 13860 Smoketown Road in Woodbridge.

Suspect 1 was armed with a silver pistol and Suspect 2 was armed with a knife.

The first man demanded money from the safe however; the manager was unable to comply with this demand. The suspect fired a shot, striking the victim, 23-year-old Keith Jamar Truesdale, who later died at Potomac Hospital.

The suspects fled through the rear doors and ran to a waiting vehicle parked behind the adjacent office complex on Golanski Blvd.

Suspect 1 is a light-skinned black male, 5 feet 9 inches and 140 pounds. He is believed to be 18-22 years old and wore a gray and black jacket with a hood, black pants, black shoes and a black hat.

Suspect 2 is also a light-skinned black male, 5 feet 7 inches and 135 pounds. He is believed to be 18-22 years old and wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Anyone with information concerning this murder should call Prince William County Crime Solvers at (866) 411-TIPS. You don’t have to give your name, just the information. You could earn up to a $1,000 cash reward.
