Trick-or-Treat at the mall
Fair Oaks Mall will be hosting a Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The free event will be the mall's 20th annual Mall-O-Ween.
Many different characters will be at the mall to mingle with the children during the popular event, according to Ferris Kaplan, the mall's marketing director.

Chantilly company breaks out executives to bartend
The president and director of account management of Atlantic Skyline will bartend at Bob O's Restaurant and Bar on Sept. 27 to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma patients.
“We encourage everyone to come out and support this important cause,” Greg Beach, president of the Chantilly-based exhibit provider, said in a statement.
Beach and Britt Ford, the director of account management, will be at the bar, located at 4335 Chantilly Shopping Center, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Bowman gets new CFO
Bowman Consulting, a Chantilly business, appointed Jim Horner as its chief financial officer.
Horner has a master's in science in management from Purdue University and a bachelor's in science from the University of Kentucky.
“His financial background, past experiences and overall enthusiasm should prove to be a real asset as we continue to pursue and execute our strategic goals,” Gary Bowman, president of Bowman, said in a statement.
